564ORDINANCE NO. 564 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC- TION 22-A OF ORDINANCE NO. 476 ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DEFINING ITS POW- ERS AND PRESCRIBING ITS DUTIES; CREATING THE OFFICE OF CONTROLLER OF SAID DE- PARTMENT, DEFINING HIS POWERS, PRESCRIBING HIS DUTIES AND FIXING HIS COM- PENSATION; ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES FOR ELECTRIC AND WATER SER- VICE AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTING THEREOF; SPECI- FYING THE MANNER OF MAK- ING APPLICATIONS AND DE- POSITS FOR SUCH'SERVICE AND OF HANDLING DELINQUENT PAYMENTS; PRESCRIBING CER- TAIN RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE INSTALLA- TION AND USE OF ELECTRIC AND WATER SERVICES, AND FIXING PENALTIES FOR VIOLA- TIONS THEROF; AND ABOLISH- ING THE OFFICE OF RATE COL- LECTOR OF SAID CITY." SPI- ClAL CONDITIONS: (a) This rate applies to service rendered at 220 or 440 volts at the option of the consumer. All necessary transformers to obtain such voltage to be installed, owned and maintained by the City. (b), The annual period upon which this rate is based shall begin with the first regular meter leading on and after May 16t, and end with the last regular , meter reading taken prior to May 1st of the succeeding year. (c) The service charge is payable in six monthly installments during the months of May to October, inclusive. The energy charge is payable monthly as energy is used. (d) Any consumer may obtain the rates for a larger installation by guar- anteeing the rates and service charge of the larger installation. (e) Whenever, upon test, any mo- tor is found to be delivering more than 125% of its capacity as indicated by ite name plate rating, the City may, disregard the name plate rating and base its charges upon the actual out- put as calculated from test. (f) Change in Connected Load: Consumers permanently increasing or decreasing connected load will have payments adjusted in accordance with:[ the basis outlined under provision (g) following: (g) Servico Commenced or Discon- tinued During tho Agricultural Year: The following adjustments apply only in the case of service first begun or permanently discontinued and will not be made when installations shut down for a few months. For a fractional agricultural year the rate will be modified as follows: The service charge will apply to ser ivice taken between May 1 and October 31 at the rate of one-sixth of the annual charge pe5 month. SECTION 3: " All ordinances .or parts of ordinances, to the extent the same conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, are to that extent hereby repealed. ! SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance, and cause the same to be published once in the Anaheim Gazette, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, pub- lished and circulated in said City of Anaheim, and said Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after August 1, 1932.
