ORDINANCE NO. 5211
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF MEMBERS
OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
Each member of the City Council, including the Mayor,
shall receive as compensation for his or her services a monthly
salary in the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00).
SECTION 2.
The salary payable to members of the City Council
pursuant to Section 1 above shall be in addition to any
reimbursement for expenses authorized by Section 502 of the City
Charter including but not limited to the amounts set forth in
Section 1.04.380 of the Anaheim Municipal Code.
SECTION 3.
The provisions hereof shall become operative on the
effective date of this ordinance and shall thereupon supersede
any provisions theretofore in effect to the contrary.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the later of
either: (i) thirty (30) days following the date of its adoption,
or (ii) the effective date of the amendment to Section 502 of the
City Charter approved by the electors of the City of Anaheim at
the special municipal election held in said City on March 5,
1991, as set forth in Sections 34459 and 34460 of the Government
Code of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 9th day of
April, 1991.
