5170FOLLOWS: L y/ �/yo • eft d.A, /ot ORDINANCE NO. .S1%0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING SECTION 1.04.380 OF CHAPTER 1.04 OF TITLE 1 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO OFFICERS AND DEPARTMENTS Of0 ^1500 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS SECTION 1. That Section 1.04.380 of Chapter 1.04 of Title 1 of the Anahei Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as foll ws: .04.380 EXPENSE ALLOWANCES - PLANNING COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS. 010 There shall be allowed to each member of the Planning C mmission, except ex official and advisory members, the sum of seve ty-five dollars per official meeting attended by the member not t exceed one meeting per week. .020 There shall be allowed to each member of the City Council th sum of twenty-five dollars per official meeting attended by e member not to exceed one meeting per week, and in addition there o there shall be allowed an additional sum of twenty-five dollars to the councilman designated as Mayor. For the purpose of his expe se allowance, a councilman will be deemed to be in attendance at a y meeting from which he may be absent while engaged in official City business determined to be such by a majority vote of the City ouncil either in advance of or following such absence. .030 These allowances are authorized to reimburse members for expense f attending meetings, traveling to and from their usual place of siness to meetings, traveling to and from property under conside tion for action by the respective body of which they are members, d all other expenses connected with the performance of their dut s as commissioners or councilmen. It is recognized that the councilman acting as Mayor will have additional expenses by re on of official appearances for the City not ordinarily incurred y other Council members. The expenses authorized hereunder nee not be accounted for by the recipients, but no other expenses shal be allowed except upon specific authorization therefor by the ty Council. A SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this ordinance of the Code, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be invalid, it is te intent of the Council that it would have passed all other portio s of this ordinance independent of the elimination herefrom of ny such portion as may be declared invalid. SECTION 3. \ SAVINGS CLAUSE Neither the adopti of this ordinance nor the repeal of any other ordinance of this ity shall in any manner affect the prosecution for violations of ordinances, which violations were committed prior to the effecti e date hereof, nor be construed as a waiver of any license or pena ty or the penal provisions applicable to any violation the eof. The provisions of this ordinance, insofar as they are s bstantially the same as ordinance provisions previously adopted by he City relating to the same subject matter, shall be construe as restatements and continuations, and not as new enac ments.
