ORDINANCE NO. 5123 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM <br />AMENDING SECTION 14.32.430 OF TITLE 14 <br />OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAIN- <br />ING TO PARKING FOR HANDICAPPED PERSONS. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. <br />That subsection .010 of Section 14.32.430 of Chapter <br />14.32 of Title 14 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be amended to read <br />as follows: <br />11.010 It is unlawful to park or <br />leave standing any vehicle upon any public <br />street in a parking space designated for the <br />exclusive use of physically handicapped <br />persons, unless said vehicle displays either <br />of the distinguishing license plates or <br />placards issued to disabled persons, pursuant <br />to Section 22511.5 of the Vehicle Code, or <br />the distinguishing license plate or placard <br />issued to disabled veterans as specified in <br />Section 9105 of the Vehicle Code. A parking <br />space shall be deemed designated for the <br />exclusive use of physically handicapped <br />persons where so indicated by blue paint on <br />the curb or edge of the paved portion of the <br />street adjacent to said space. In addition <br />to blue paint, said space shall also be <br />indicated by signs or other suitable means. <br />Any police officer, police cadet or assistant <br />traffic controller of the City of Anaheim is <br />hereby authorized to cause the removal to the <br />nearest public garage of any vehicle parked <br />upon any public street in violation of this <br />provision." <br />SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY <br />The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares <br />that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this <br />ordinance of the Code, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason <br />to be invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have <br />passed all other portions of this ordinance independent of the <br />elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be declared <br />invalid. <br />
