ORDINANCE NO. 1742
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES FIND
THAT. -
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did heretofore duly pass and adopt Resolution No. 216 --
Series 1961-62 in Reclassification No. .61-62-71
recommending an amendment of Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code and a change or changes in the boundaries of the zone or
zones hereinafter mentioned and described, after having held a
public hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed in said
Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to consider such proposed
change or changes of zone or zones, and after having received
evidence and reports from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission did make findings
and summaries of its hearings and did recommend a change or changes
of zone or zones as set forth In said resolution; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, report of
findings, summary of evidence and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission, the City Clerk did fix the _27th day of
-February , 19 62 , as the time, and the -Council Chamber
in the.City -Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place, for a
public hearing upon said proposed amendment to Title 18 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code and change or changes of zone or zones,
and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided in
said Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did hold and conduct such public hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did thereupon
consider the recommendation of the City Planning Commission, and
did adopt Resolution (s) No. (s) 62R-198 , finding
and determining that Title 18 or the Anaheim- Municipal Code should
be amended and that a change or changes in the boundaries of said
zone or zones should be made as set forth In said resolution(s);

62R-198 WHEREAS, in accordance with said Resolution ( s )
-, certain conditions and requirements were made
as conditions precedent to the making of a change or changes of
said zone or zones, and
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to said change or
changes of zone or zones have been complied with,,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating
to Zoning be, and the same is hereby, amended by changing the
boundaries of the zones set forth in said Title 18 by adopting
a sectional Zoning Map or Maps showing such change or changes
as follows:
That all of the area situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows,
to wit:
The West 210 feet of the North one-half of
the North one-half of the Northwest quarter
of the Southwest quarter of Section 14, in
Township 4 South, Range 11 West, in the
Rancho Los Coyotes, city of ,Anaheim, as
shown on a map thereof recorded in book 51,
page 11, Miscellaneous Maps, records of
said Orange County,
now is R -A, RES IDENT IAL*-A,GRICULTURAL , ZONE and that it be
changed to and incorporated in C-1, NEIGHBORHOOD -COMMERCIAL,
ZONE subject to the following conditions:
1. That subject property shall be developed sub-
stantially in accordance with plans marked
"Exhibit No. III on file with the City of Anaheim.
2. That a 6 -foot masonry wall shall be constructed
along the east and south boundary lines of
subject property prior to final building
inspection.
3. That a landscaped strip of a minimum width of
6 feet shall be established and maintained
abutting the planned highway right of way line
of Knott Avenue on that portion of subject
property proposed to be developed at the
present time; that plans for said landscaping
shall be submitted to and approved by the
Superintendent of Parkway Maintenance; and
that said landscaping shall be installed
prior to final building inspection.
Thatat the time of development of the northerly
half of subject property, for any C-1, Neighborhood -
Commercial, Zone uses, a landscaped strip of a
minimum width of 6 feet shall be established and
maintained along the highway right of way lines
of Orange and Knott Avenues, in accordance with
the above procedure.
That plans for the development of said northerly
portion of subject property shall be subject to
the approval of the Planning Commission.
4. That adequate areas for trash storage shall be
provided as determined and required by the
Street Maintenance and Sanitation Division of
the Public Works Department, which areas shall
be enclosed by.a solid fence or wall prior to
final building inspection,

SECTION 20
The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is hereby,
amended9 and the property above described shall be excluded from
the zone in which it is now situated, and incorporated in and
made a part of the zone or zones as above set forth, and said
City Zoning Map as amended is hereby adopted and the City Engineer
is hereby directed to prepare a sectional zoning map to be added
to the City Zoning Map showing the changes hereby approved and
adopted.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published.and:
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from„and after
Its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
