FOLLOWS: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5861 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING <br />SECTION 13.04.010 OF CHAPTER 13.04 OF TITLE 13 OF THE <br />ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE PARKS <br />AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS <br />SECTION 1. <br />That Section l 3.04.010 of Chapter 13.04 of Title 13 of the Anaheim Municipal Code <br />be, and the same are hereby, amended in its entirety to read as follows: <br />"13.04.010 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION; MEMBERSHIP AND TERMS. <br />.010 A Parks and Recreation Commission consisting of seven members hereby exists in <br />the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 907 of the Charter of the City of Anaheim. <br />.020 Members of the Parks and Recreation Commission shall be appointed by the City <br />Council and shall serve for a term of four years and until their respective successors are appointed <br />and qualified. <br />.030 Terms of members shall be staggered so that the terms of two members shall expire <br />on the thirtieth day of June of each year except for each fourth year when the term of one of the <br />members shall expire on the thirtieth day of June of such year. <br />.040 At the expiration of each of the terms so provided for, a successor shall be appointed <br />by the City Council for a term of four years. Vacancies in said Commission occurring otherwise than <br />by expiration of term shall be filled by appointment by the City Council for the remainder of the <br />unexpired term. <br />.050 The City Council may appoint up to seven ex officio, non-voting, members, each of <br />whom shall be a member of the board of trustees of a separate public school district serving the City <br />of Anaheim. Ex -officio members, if any, shall serve for a term of four years from the date of <br />appointment." <br />SECTION 2. OPERATIVE DATE OF ORDINANCE; APPOINTMENT OF <br />NEW COMMISSION MEMBERS. <br />This ordinance shall become effective and operative on the thirty-first day following the date <br />of its adoption. The members of the Parks and Recreation Commission on the date this ordinance <br />is adopted shall continue to serve in such capacity until the effective date hereof, except for any <br />
