AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING

ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICI-
PAL CODE RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
ZONES IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THEREIN RE-
GULATING THE USE OF LAND, HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS
AND YARD SPACES; ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING THE
BOUNDARIES OF SAID ZONES; DEFINING THE TERMS
USED THEREIN; PROVIDING FOR ADJUSTMENT, AMEND-
MENT AND ENFORCEMENT; PRESCRIBING PENALTIES
FOR VIOLATION AND REPEALING ALL SECTIONS OR
PARTS OF SECTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Ana-
heim did heretofore duly pass and adopt a resolution declaring its
intention to change the boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter
mentioned and described and did fix a time and .place for the holding
of a public hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed in Arti-
cle IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code and did duly hold and
conduct said public hearing to consider such proposed change of zone
or zones, and did receive evidence and reports from persons interested
therein, and did recommend a change or changes of zones as set forth
in Resolution No. 1514., Series 1956-57, of the City Planning Com-
mission; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation of
the City Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 19th day
of March , 1957 , as the time, and the Council Chamber
in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place, for a public
hearing upon said proposed change or changes of zone, and did give
notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said Article IX,
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hear-
ing the City Council did hold and conduct such public hearing and did
give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard and
did receive evidence and reports, and did thereupon consider the recom-
mendations of the City Planning Commission, and did thereupon adopt
Resolution No. 37)111 , finding and determining that a change or
changes of zone should be made as set forth in said resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY ,COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
"establishing zones in the City of Anaheim and therein regulating the
use of land, height of buildings and yard spaces; adopting a map show-
ing the boundaries of said zone; defining the terms used in said Arti-
cle and Chapter; providing for amendment and enforcement thereof; pre-
scribing penalties for violation and repealing all sections or parts
of section in conflict therewith" be, and the same is hereby, amended
by changing the boundaries of the zones set forth in said Article IX,
MeChapter 2 by adopting a sectional Zoning Map or Maps showing such
change or changes as follows :
1. That all of the area situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to wit :

The West 6 acres of the East half (E2) of the North
414half (Ni) of Lot 8 of Anaheim Extension, as shown on
a map of survey made by William Harvel on file in the
office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California;
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the North 260 feet, measured from
the center line of Center Street;
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the West 150 feet.
is R-1, SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE and
' now AmclExxx R-2, TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE , and that it
be changed to and incorporated in R-3, M[TLTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE,
subject to the following condition:
That the owner of subject property place of record
appropriate R-3 Deed Restrictions as required by the
City of Anaheim, and approved by the City Attorney.
SECTION 2.
The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is::hereby,
amended and the property above described shall be excluded from the
zone in which it is now situated, and incorporated in and made a part
of the zone or zones as above set forth, and said City Zoning Map as
amended is hereby adopted and the City Engineer is hereby directed to
prepare a sectional zoning map to be added to the City Zoning Map and
inserted in the Anaheim Municipal Code showing the changes hereby
approved and adopted.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify tothe passage of this Ordi-
nance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15)
days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of gen-
eral circulation, printed, published and circulated in. said City, and
thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall take effect
and be in full force,
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me this

was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of said City Council
held on the 11th day of February, 1958, by the following vote of
the members thereof:
