AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
• ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICI-
PAL CODE RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
ZONES IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THEREIN RE-
GULATING THE USE OF LAND, HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS
AND YARD SPACES; ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING THE
BOUNDARIES OF SAID ZONES; DEFINING THE TERMS
USED THEREIN; PROVIDING FOR ADJUSTMENT, AMEND-
MENT AND ENFORCEMENT; PRESCRIBING PENALTIES
FOR VIOLATION AND REPEALING ALL SECTIONS OR
PARTS OF SECTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Ana-
heim did heretofore duly pass and adopt a resolution declaring its
intention to change the boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter
mentioned and described and did fix a time and place for the holding
of a public hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed in Arti--
cle IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code and did duly hold and
conduct said public hearing to consider such proposed change of zone
or zones, and did receive evidence and reports from persons interested
therein, and did recommend a change or changes of zones as set forth
in Resolution No. 99 -- Series 19.57-58 of the City Planning Com-
mission; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation of
the City Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 19th day
of November , 1957 , as the time, and the Council Chamber
in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place, for a public
hearing upon said proposed change or change. of zone, and did give
notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said Article IX,
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hear-
ing the City Council did hold and conduct such public hearing and did
give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard and
did receive evidence and reports, and did thereupon consider the recom-
mendations of the City Planning Commission, and did gtiglewemTes adopt
Resolution Nos. 4223 & 4324, finding and determining that a change or
changes of zone should be made as set forth in said resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1„
That Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
"establishing zones in the City of Anaheim and therein regulating the
use of land() height of buildings and yard spaces ; adopting a map show-
ing the boundaries of said zone; defining the terms used in said Arti-
cle and Chapter; providing for amendment and enforcement thereof; pre-
scribing penalties for violation and repealing all sections or parts
of section in conflict therewith" be, and the same is hereby, amended
• by changing the boundaries of the zones set forth in said Article IX,
Chapter 2 by adopting a sectional Zoning Map or Maps showing such
change or changes as follows :
1. That all of the area situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to wit :

The West 11 acres of the South half of the South
half of the Southwest quarter of Section 1,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B . & M.
know is R-A, RESIDENTIAL-AGRICULTURAL and C-1, NEIGHBORHOOD-
COMMERCIAL ZONES, and that it be changed to and incorporated in
the following zones, upon the conditions hereinafter set forth:
That that portion of subject property, 200 feet by 200 feet,
located at the northeast corner of North Placentia and East
La Palma Avenues, be reclassified C-3, HEAVY-COMMERCIAL ZONE;
and
That the remainder of subject property be changed to C-1,
NEIGHBORHOOD-COMI• RCIAL ZONE,
upon the following conditions:
1. That the owners of subject property deed to the City of
Anaheim a strip of land 53 feet in width from the center
line of the street along both North Placentia and East
La Palma Avenues, for street widening purposes.
2. That the owners of subject property place of record stand-
ard City of Anaheim C-1 and 0-3 Deed Restrictions covering
the property in the respective zones, and that the C-3
restrictions limit the use of the property zoned 0-3 to a
Service Station only. Said restrictions shall be approved
by the City Attorney.
3. That all engineering requirements of the City of Anaheim,
such as curbs and gutters, sidewalks, street grading and
paving, drainage facilities or other pertinent work be
complied with as required by the City Engineer, when sub-
ject property is developed.
SECTION 2.
The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is hereby ,
amended and the property above described shall be excluded from the
zone in which it is now situated, and incorporated in and made a
part of the zone or zones as above set forth, and said City Zoning
. Map as amended is hereby adopted and the City Engineer is hereby
directed to prepare a sectional zoning map to be added to the City
Zoning Map and inserted in the Anaheim Municipal Code showing the
changes hereby approved and adopted.
SECTION J.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen
(15 ) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said
City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall
take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me this

and that the same was passed and adopted at a regular meeting
of said City Council, held on the 28th day of January, 1958,
by the following vote of the members thereof:

and Wisser
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City
of Anaheim approved and signed said Ordinance on the 28th day
