AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
THE ZONING MAP REFERRED TO IN TITLE 18 OF THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING
(RECLASSIFICATION NO. 2002-00078).
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES FIND THAT:
WHEREAS, following a duly noticed public hearing held on July 29, 2002, pursuant
to the provisions of Section 18.03.085 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, the Planning Commission
did adopt its Resolution No. PC2002-150 determining that a change or changes in the zone or zones
hereinafter mentioned and described should be made; and
WHEREAS, certain conditions and requirements were made as conditions precedent
to the making of a change or changes of said zone or zones, which conditions have been complied
with.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Zoning map referred to in Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and
the same is hereby, amended by rezoning and reclassifying that certain property situated in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to wit:
A STRIP OF LAND, 70.0 FEET MORE OR LESS, IN WIDTH,
AND 2680 FEET, MORE OR LESS, IN LENGTH, BEING ALL
THAT PART OF THE ANAHEIM BRANCH (NOW
ABANDONED) OF THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD
COMPANY, SUCCESSOR IN INTEREST TO THE LOS
ANGELES & SALT LAKE RAILROAD COMPANY, SITUATED
IN THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE '/4) OF SECTION 3,
TOWNSHIP 4 SOUTH, RANGE 10 WEST, SAN BERNARDINO
BASE & MERIDIAN, CITY OF ANAHEIM, ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, THE SAID STRIP LYING BETWEEN LINES
DISTANT 0.00 FEET AND 70.0 FEET WESTERLY, WHEN
MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES AND/OR RADIALLY, FROM
THE WESTERLY LINE OF THE RIGHT OF WAY OF THE
BURLINGTON NORTHERN SANTA FE RAILROAD, AS
PRESENTLY CONSTRUCTED AND OPERATED, THE SAID
STRIP OF LAND BEING BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY THE
NORTHERLY LINE OF THE SAID SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE
'/4) OF SECTION 3, AND BOUNDED ON THE SOUTH BY THE
NORTH LINE OF THE PUBLIC ROADWAY COMMONLY
KNOWN AS "LA PALMA STREET", THE CENTERLINE OF
WHICH STREET BEING THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF THE SAID
SECTION 3, AND THE SAID STRIP OF LAND BEING ALL OR
PART OF THOSE SAME TRACTS OF LAND HERETOFORE
ACQUIRED BY THE SAID LOS ANGELES & SALT LAKE
RAILROAD COMPANY.

SECTION 2.
The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is hereby, amended and the property
above-described shall be excluded from the zone in which it is now situated and incorporated in and
made a part of the zone or zones as above set forth, and said City Zoning Map, as amended, is hereby
adopted and the Planning Department is hereby directed to prepare a sectional zoning map to be
added to the City Zoning map showing the changes hereby approved and adopted.
