the City of Anaheim.
S'MIC9 NM: Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the
provisions of this OrdiMoce shall:be deemed gmilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall. be punished by a fine of not less than Fifty ( $50.00)
Dollars nor more than Tutee Dundre4 ($300.00) Dollars, or by imprisonment in
the City Jail for a peri'd of not more thanM6%y (90) days or by both such
fine and imprisonment.
Zech such person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a
separate offense for each day during any portion of which any violation of any
provision of this Ordine*Lce is committed, continued or permitted; by such person,
firm or corporation, and; shall be punishable as provided by this Ordinance,
SICTION TEN: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this *inane* are hereby repealed.
3=10N ALZVFI t The City Clerk of the City. of Anaheim, shall certify
ta-the passage of this Wdirance and cause the same to be published once in the
Orange County revs, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated in the City of Anaheim, and thirty (30) days from and after its
final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.

THE CITY COUN4CIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ()R-
DAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECT -10-N ONE: Definitions.
(a) `Dangerous fireworks, are
defined to mean: Firecrackers and
fireworks containing phosphorus,
sulphocyanide, mercury, chlorate
Of potash -and sulphor and/or chlo-
rate of potash and sugar; fire-
crackers over one-fourth ( Y44 )
inches in diameter or over one
and one-half (11A) inches in
length; firecrackers and salutes
containing flash powder, common-
ly called flash crackers; blank
cartridges, except where used in
sports or theatricals; a e r i a l
bombs; sky rockets and all devices
designed to rise in the air during
discharge; Roman candles and all
devices discharging halls of fire
into the air;, chasers, including
all devices which dart or travel
about the surface of the ground
during discharge; snakes, boa con-
strictors and snake nests, contain-
ing bichloride of mercury, all ar-
ticles for pyrotechnic display
which contain gunpowder; articles
commonly known as son -of -
a -gun, and devil -on -the -rock; crack -
it sticks; automatic torpedoes
which contain arsenic; all types
of torpedoes designed to be
thrown or projected to emPlode on
impact; explosives known, as devil -
on -the -walk ' or any other articles
Of similar character which explode
through means of friction; and all
other similar fireworks.
(-b) "Sai`e and Sane fireworkspr
are defined to mean any fireworks
not designated herein as danger-
ous fireworks.
(c) `'Established business" is
defined for the purposes of this
Ordinance to mean a person, firm
or corporation holding an unrevok-
ed business license, issued by said
City of Anitheim, for not less than
Ninety (90) days immediately
prior to. the application for any
license under this Ordinance ana
who shall have been engaged in
rbusiness under such business li-
cense during •'all: 'of said Ninety
(90) day- period.

lic oil or gasoline station, or or
any premises where gasoline or
other inflamable liquids are stores:
or dispensed. All fireworks sold
or displayed for sale in a. room
where other merchandise is stored
and/or displayed shall be display-
ed in closed cases.
SEC'T-ION -SIX: It shall be un-
lawful. for any person, firm or
corporation to discharge any fire•
works except on the third (3rd).

SECTION SEVEN: Safe and
Sane fireworks mai* be stocked,
kept and stored, when parked ill
a box or container approved by
the Interstate Commerce Commis-
sion upon special permit from said
Fire Chief at such place as said
File Chief shall designate.
SECTION EIGHT: Notwith-
standing any other provisions of
this Ordinance the City Council
of the City of Anaheim, in its dis-
cretion, may grant permits for
Public displays of fireworks un-
der the supervision of said Fire
Chief. Applications for Stich per,

less than Ten (10) days

accompanied by a detail-
ed statement of the items of such
Proposed display. If such permit
is granted, no items shall be dis-
played except as are contained in
such statement and said City
Council may in, granting such per-
mit eliminate from. said statement
such items as it deems hazardous
and it shall be unlawful for the
grantee of such permit to exhi0it
or display such eliminated items.
Such public display shall be under
the supervision of said Fire Chief
and/or such persons as he shall
designate and authorize. The fee
for such permit shall be Ten
($1.0-00) Dollars for each display.
Such display and/or displays shall
be held at such place and time as
designated in said permit and un-
der no circumstances shall such
displays be held in Fire Zone No.
1 of the City of Anaheim.
SECTION NINE: Any person,
firm or corporation violating any
of the provisions of this Ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a. mis.
demeanor and upon conviction
thereof shall be punished by a
fuse of not less than -Fifty ($50.00)

dred ( $300.00) Dollars, or by im-
prisonment in the City Jail for a

Such display and/or displays shall
be held at such place and time as
designated in said permit and un-
der no circumstances shall such
displays be held in Fire Zone No.
1 of the City of Anaheim.
SOCTION NINE: Any person,
firm or corporation violating any
of the provisions of this Ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a• mis-
demeanor and upon convibtion
thereof shall !be punished by a
fine of not less than - Fifty ($50.00)
Dollars nor more than Three Hun-
dred ($300.00) Dollars, or by im—
prisonment in the City Jail for a
period. of not more than 'Ninety
