THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF A14AHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS F SECTION 1: Tlaat the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the 10th day of January, 1950, receive a written petition asking that certain new and uninhabited territory described in said peti- tion be annexed to the City of Anaheim. That said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited terri- tory. That said petition contained a description of said territory in words. and figures as her'eina.fter in this Ordinance described. That the city Council duly assembled at a regular meeting of said. City Council held on the � day of January, 1950, did find that said petition at the time It was filed and -received was signed by the owners of not less than one-fourth of the area of the land in such territory and represented. not less than one-fourth of the assessed value of said territory proposed to be annexed according to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange, State of Calif ornia, in which said territory is situated that Said territory did not f orm a part of any municipal corporatic and did find that said territory is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory. SECTION 2: That the annexation of the territory included 114ithin the boundaries of the East Vermont Avenue Annexation and more particularly.described as follows, to wit: A tract of land including a portionof Lot 15 of Anaheim Extension, as shown on a Map of a Survey made by William Hamel in 1.868 and filed in Book 39 Pages 162--164 of baps, Records of Los Angeles County, also a portion of East 'Vermont Avenue (formerly Broad Street) in the County of Orange, State of California., 8%nd more particularly described as follows: ` -Beginning at the sotLtheasterly corner of the present city limits of the City of Anaheim, said corner being the Northeast corner of South East Street and East ver- -2- 1 2 3 4 S e 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 18 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 I* Mont Avenue (formerly Broad. Boyle by deed recorded in Book 242 Page 295 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California., 1619 feet, more or less, to a point on the easterly line of Lot 15 of Anaheim Extension; thence S -150--W -E along the easterly line of said Lot 15 of Anaheim: Extension and said line expended. 847 feet, more or less, to a point on the southerly line of said East Vermont Avenue; thence S -74 -301-w along the souther- ly -line of said East Vermont Avenue a distance of 1655 feet, more or less, to the southwest corner of the inter- section of said East Vermont Avenue and South East Street; thence N-15 -301-W along the westerly line of said South East Street a distance of 66 feet to the northwest corner of said intersection of South East Street and East Vermont Avenue, said corner also being on the southerly city limit line of the City of Anaheim; thence N-7 -.301-E along the north line of said East Vermont Avenue and along the present city limit line a distance of 66 feet to the point of beginning, is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and in- corporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of Cali- fornia and is hereby designated as the East Vermont Avenue Annexati to the City of Anaheim. SECTION 3: That from and after the effective date of this 10rdinance and the filing of a certified copy thereof in the office of the Secretary of State of California, the annexation of the terr tory herein described shall be -deemed to be and shall be complete and thence forth such annexed territory shall be to all intents and purposes a part of the City of Anaheim. SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of Ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper, printed, published and circulated in Ithe City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and thirty ( 30 ) days from and after U# finaltion it shall be in full force and effect.
