ORDINANCE NO. 5686
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING SECTION 1.04.997 OF CHAPTER
1.04 OF TITLE 1 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE
BUDGET ADVISORY COMMISSION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That subsection .020 of Section 1.04.997 of Chapter 1.04 of
Title 1 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby,
amended to read as follows:
".020 Membership. The Budget Advisory Commission
shall consist of five (5) members, none of whom shall hold any paid
office or employment in the City government and at least three of
whom shall be residents of the City of Anaheim."
SECTION 2.
That subsection .060.020 of Section 1.04.997 of Chapter
1.04 of Title 1 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is
hereby, amended to read as follows:
".020 The Commission shall hold regularly scheduled
meetings at least four times per year, and shall hold such other
meetings as from time to time shall be called in the manner and form
required by law. Meetings shall be conducted in accordance with
Section 904 of the Anaheim City Charter. Regular meeting dates and
times shall be established by the Commission. A majority of the total
number of members of the Commission then in office shall constitute
a quorum."
SECTION 3.
Adoption of this ordinance shall result in a reduction in
the authorized membership of the Budget Advisory Commission from
seven members to five members. Consequently, the City Council shall
reorganize and reconstitute the Budget Advisory Commission in any
manner it deems appropriate, including but not limited to the removal
of some or all members, the appointment or reappointment of members,
and/or modifying the terms of any existing members, so as to carry
out the purposes of this ordinance.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 8th day June 1999.
