ORDINANCE NO. 4092
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMEND-
ING SUBSECTION .020 OF SECTION 3.24.010 OF
CHAPTER 3.243 TITLE 39 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO AMUSEMENT DEVICES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That Subsection .020 of
Title 3, of the Anaheim Municipal
amended to read as follows:
Section 3.24.010 of Chapter 3.249
Code be, and the same is hereby,
11.020 No person shall conduct, carry on or man-
age the business of, or maintain any of the amusement
or recreational devices or mechanical devices, or con-
duct any of the games or exhibitions above mentioned,
with the exception of machines for the dispensing of
music, within 600 feet of any school, whether or not
such device contains any pay-off device for the return
of slugs, coin, money, checks, tokens or merchandise;
provided, however, that the provisions of this subsec-
tion may be waived by the City Council upon finding
that such activity would not be detrimental to the
public welfare and morals, and upon approval of the
affected school district."
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this or-
dinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said
City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it
shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 8th 'day of January, 1980.
