4154ORDINANCE NO. 4154 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADDING NEW SECTION 14.32.450 TO CHAPTER 14.32 OF TITLE 14 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PARKING. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That new Section 14.32.450 be, and the same is hereby, added to Chapter 14.32 of Title 14 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to read as follows: "14.32.450 PERMIT PARKING ON DESIGNATED STREETS. .010 Except as otherwise provided in this section, it shall be unlawful for any person to stand or park any vehicle on any street, or portion thereof, restricted by resolution of the City Council to permit parking only during all or certain hours of the day or night provided signs giving notice of said restriction have been posted. .020 The provisions of subsection .010 above shall not apply to any vehicle conspicuously displaying in the left rear window thereof or, if a guest parking permit, on the dashboard immediately above the steering wheel, a valid parking permit issued by the City of Anaheim pursuant to subsection .030 of this section. .030 The City Traffic Engineer, or such other person as authorized by the City Council, shall, upon application therefor, issue a parking permit exempting from the provisions of this section any vehicle owned or controlled by any resident or merchant of property adjacent to the street, or portion thereof, so restricted. Said issuer of permits shall also issue a maximum of ten (10) guest parking permits to each such residence or business. .040 Any parking permit issued by the City pursuant to this section shall be valid for the one year period from January 1 through December 31 of each year. Permits for the following calendar year shall be issued in December of each year. -1- .050 The provisions of this section shall not apply to any authorized emergency vehicle as defined in the California Vehicle Code when such vehicle is responding to an emergency, or the vehicle of a licensed physician who is responding to an emergency provided said vehicle displays an insigne approved by the California Department of Motor Vehicles indicating that the vehicle is owned by a licensed physician. .060 Nothing contained herein shall be deemed to authorize vehicle parking at any location or at any time otherwise prohibited by any other provision of law." SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.
