4145ORDINANCE N0. 4145 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING SECTION 13.04.010 OF CHAPTER 13.04, TITLE 13, OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Section 13.04.010 of Chapter 13.04, Title 13, of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows: "13.04.010 PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION CREATED--MEMBERSHIP--TERM OF OFFICE There is hereby created a Park and Recreation Commission consisting of seven (7) members pursuant to Section 907 of the Charter of the City of Anaheim. The Park and Recreation Commission members shall be appointed as follows: .010 Two members to be recommended by the Mayor for appointment by the City Council. .020 One member to be recommended from the City Council for appointment by the City Council; .030 One member to be recommended from the High School District Board of Trustees for appointment by the City Council; .040 One member to be recommended from the City School District Board of Trustees for appointment by the City Council; .050 One member to be recommended from the Magnolia School District Board of Trustees for appointment by the City Council; .060 One member to be recommended from the City Planning Commission for appointment by the City Council; .070 Ex officio members, without vote, may be appointed by the City Council as follows: The Superin- tendent of the High School District; the Superintendent of the City School District; the Superintendent of the Magnolia Elementary School District; and the City Manager. -1- .080 Members of the Commission shall serve for a term of four years and until their respective successors are appointed and qualified. At the expiration of each of the terms so provided for, a successor shall be appointed by the City Council for a term of four years. Vacancies in said Commission occurring otherwise than by expiration of term shall be filled in the manner herein set forth for the unexpired term of the Commissioner leaving the Commission." SECTION 2. For purposes of effectuating the provisions of this ordinance and the requirements of Section 902 of the Anaheim City Charter, the terms of the following members of the Parks and Recreation Commission in office on the effective date of this ordinance, or their successors, shall be deemed to expire on the thirtieth day of June of the following respective years: the City July, 1980.
