4220ORDINANCE NO. 4220
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
REPEALING SECTION 3.04.210, CHAPTER 3.04,
OF TITLE 3 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE
AND ADDING A NEW SECTION 3.04.210 IN ITS
PLACE AND STEAD RELATING TO BUSINESS
LICENSES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 3, Chapter 3.04 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be amended by repealing Section 3.04.210, and adding
thereto a new Section 3.04.210 to read as follows:
"3.04.210 DELINQUENT TAX PAYMENTS - PENALTIES
For failure to pay a license tax when due,
the License Collector shall add a penalty of 10% of
said license tax on the last day of each month after
the due date thereof, providing that the amount of
such penalty to be added shall in no event exceed
100% of the amount of the license tax due.
When the last day of the month in which the
business license tax is due falls on a Saturday,
Sunday, or a state or national holiday, payment of the
business license tax may be made without penalty on
the first working day of the succeeding month.
Penalties in such cases shall attach on the second
working day of the succeeding month.
For the purpose of this Title 3, postmarks
shall be accepted as the date of payment made, provided
the transmitting envelope contains a post office postage
cancellation indicating not later than the date due."
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.

THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 21st day of
April, 1981.
