AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIMI Ai,1ENDING
TITLE 17, CHAPTER 17.08, SECTIONS 17.03.334,
17.08.535, AND 17.08.536 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO ESTABLISHING
REGULATIONS FOR DEDICATION OF LAND, PAYMENT
OF FEES, OR BOTH, FOR PARK AND -RECREATIONAL
LAND IN SUBDIVISIONS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIL-11. DOES ORDAI1'J

That Title 17, Chapter 17.03, Section 17.08.534 of the
Anaheim municipal Code be, and the same is hereb-ly, amended to read
as follows:
"SECTION 17.08-534 POPULATION, DENSITY
''Population density for tine purpose of Sections 17.08.33,01
through 17.08.539 shall be deteirtdned- in accordance with.
the following schedule of densities by d-vielling unit as
derived from the 1970 Federal Census, to wit:
(a) Single fart.,,ily dwelling units and du--lexe s
,p
3.3 persons per dwelling unit; and
(b) 21ultiple family dwelling units = 2.4
persons per dwelling unit; and
(c) Mlobile homes dwelling unit = 1.9 Dersons
per dwelling unit.
The basis for determining the total number of dwelling units
shall be the number of such units Permitted by the City on
the property included in the subdivision at the time tille
final subdivision tract -map is filed wit'zi the City Council
for approval."

That Title 17, Cna.pter 17.08, Section 17.03.535 of tyle
Anaheim i-,lunicipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended to r --ad
as follows:
"SECTION 17.08.533 AJOOUNTT OF LAND TO BE DEDICATED
(EFFECTIVE, JANUARY 1, 1971)
"The amount of land required to be dedicated by a su'--,-
divider -oursuant to Sections 17.08.530 through 17.03.339,
shall be.
(a) Per single family unit - 243.3 square feet.
(b) Per multiple family unit - 156.3 sr-Tuare feet.
(c) Per mobile home dwelling unit - 124 SC.Tuare feet.
The above listed amounts of land shall be ;used on the
following formula:

Amount of Land per dwelling unit = ( S ) P
(1,000)
S = Park standard
P = Population density per dwelling unit
Values used for determining amounts of land per dwelling
unit;
S = 1.5 acres or 65,340 square feet per 1,000
population
P = 3.8 persons/single dwelling unit
P = 2.4 persons/multiple dwelling unit
P = 1.9 persons/mobile home dwelling unit."
SECTION 3.
That Title 17, Chapter 17.08, Section 17.08.536 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended to read
as follows;
"SECTION 17.08.536 AMOUNT OF FEE IN LIEU OF LAND
DEDICATION (EFFECTIVE
JANUARY 1, 197
"Where a fee is required to be paid in lieu of land
dedication, the amount of such fee shall be;
(a) Per single family unit - $300 x 2/3
(b) Per multiple family unit - $187.50 x 2/3
(c) Per mobile home unit - $150 x 2/3
The above listed fees shall be shall be based on the follow-
ing formula;
IN -LIEU FEE FORMULA:
FEE= (L + D) SP x 2/3
L = Acreage land acquisition cost per acre
D = Average basic park development cost per acre
S = Park standard
P = Population density per dwelling unit
Values used for determining the recommended in -lieu
fees;
L = $35,000 per acre
D = $17,500 per acre
S = 1.5 acres per 1,000 population
P = 3.8 persons/single dwelling unit
P = 2.4 persons/multiple dwelling unit
P = 1.9 persons/mobile home dwelling unit."

SECTION 4.
�. The City Clerk shall certify tD the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its ado -'tion, in the Ana -Z! y=n Bulletin, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated
in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final
passage it shall to}Le effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
