5737ORDINANCE NO. 5737
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
SECTION 1.06.120.0303 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE TO PERMIT DETENTION OFFICERS
AND POLICE OFFICERS TO BE ASSIGNED TO THE
SAME UNIT OF REPRESENTATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Section 1.06.120.0303 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, a
part of the Employer -Employee Relations Ordinance, is hereby
amended in its entirety to read as follows:
"0303. Peace Officers and Detention Officers shall not
be included in the same unit with non -peace officers
and non -detention officers for the purpose of meeting
and conferring, nor may they represent such employees
for the purpose of meeting and conferring."
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a
newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in
said City.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from
and after the date of its adoption.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this2fithday of September
2000.
