An ordinance, defining tramps and
providing- for their punishment.
The Board of TMtess. of the City of Anaheim do,
ordain as follows:
SoOtion, I.—That all persons found w&MAsTinguP61%

Section 2—That suck persons when brought to
the notice of the City Marshal shall be offered work
on the streets and roads In the City of Anaheim, at
the rate of one dollar per day, and if they do not se-
cept such work within three hours they shall be con
sidered,, tramps, and upon conviction as such be con-
fined in the City jail for forty-eight hours on bread
and water, and if not outside af the city limits within.

An Ordinance defining Tramps and providing for their
Puni sl—anent,,
The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim do ordain as
follows: ----
Section, I, ---That all persons found wandering upon the Streets of
the City of Anaheim,without visible means of support and who will
not work when work is offered to them,shall be deemed vagrants or
tramps;
Sec, --2-- That such persons when brought to the notice of the
City Marshal shall be offered work on the streets and roads in the
City of Anaheim,at the rate of one dollar per day,and if they do
not accept such `.pork within three hours they shall be considered
tramps,and upon conviction as such be confined in the City jail
for forty eight hours on bread and water,and if not outside of the
City limits within three hours thereafter,shall upon conviction be
liable to like arrest,and imp risoninent each time after such incar-
ceration;
Sec, --3-- The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be
published once in the Anaheim ......and thereupon and
thereafterit shall take effect and be in full force;
