do ordain as follows:

Section 1.—That for the purposes of establish-
ing and designating the official grades of the
streets, alleys and sewers of the City of Anaheim
sea -level is hereby declared to be the "Datum
Plane" of the City of Anaheim, and as perma-
nent ' Bench Marks" within the City of Ana-
heim, the altitudes of which above sea level
have been ascertained, three are hereby adopted
Marks" follows:

First—Phe top of the iron sill at the west en-
trance of the Metz block on Center street, said
Metz block being at the southeast corner formed
by the intersection of Center street with Los An-
geles street the elevation of which is 152.03 feet
