ORDINANCE NUMBER II J An Ordinance calling a General Municipal Election in the City 'of Anaheim, establishing a polling place, appointing a Board of Election and providing that notice of such Election be given. The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, do ordain as follows: Section, I ----That a general election be held in the said City of Anaheim, on Monday the thirteenth day of April 1896, for 'Ok the purpose of electing two members Of the Board of Trustees, of the City of Anaheim for the term of four Mears, one City Clark, who shall be ex -officio Assessor, one City Treasurer, and one City�Marshal who shall be ex -officio Tax and License Collector; Section, 2 ----That the entire City shall bEax constitute a single Precinct, with one polling place for said election, and the Polling place for said Election shall be as follows, to -wit: At the City Hall on Center Street in the said City of Anaheim; Section,3 ---- That the compensation of the members of the each Board of Election shall be three dollars for the election, and the following named persons, qualified electors of the City of Anaheim, are hereby appointed a Board of Election to act respect- ively as Inspectors, Judges, Clerks and Ballot Clerks: Inspectors, Judges,------- �LL Clerks, — Ballot Clerks, Section,4----That the polls at said election shall be opened at sunrise on the said thirteenth day of April I896,and must be kept open until five o'clock on the afternoon of said day,when the same shall be closed; Section,5---- That the City Clerk shall give notice of said election by causing envelopes to be addressed to each voter in the City of Anaheim, together with the number of the residence of said voter or correct post -office address as ka the same appears, upon the Register corrected at that time,as the law provides, and cause to be enclosed therein sample ballots and the lists of nom- inations filed with him and asmax cause the same to be mailed in the United States Post Office as printed matter for delivery to each of said voters; The mailing of all of said envelopes contain- ing sample ballots as aforesaid shall commence at least ten days before the said thirteenth day of April I896, and continue so that all of said envelopes containing said sample ballots, shall have been mailed at least three whole days before the said thir- teenth day of April I896; Section, 6 ----The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this rdinance and cause the same to be published once in the a weekly newspaper a printed, P P P nted, publish_ ed and circulated in said City of Anaheim, and thereupon and there- after it shall take effect and be in fui�force, President of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim. ?
