AN ORDINANCE AGAINST OBSTRUCT - ing streets, alleys or sidewalks in the City of Anaheim. The Board of Trustees of the City of Ana- heim do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to in any manner ob- struct any street, alley or sidewalk, or to do any act or thing whatever so as to interfere in any manner whatever with any free passage through, along, across or upon any street, alley or sidewalk in the City of Ana- heim without permission of the Board of Trustees of said city; provided, that noth. ing herein contained shall be construed to prohibit any person building upon or im proving any real estate in said city from using the side of the street adjacent to said real estate for the purpose of depositing building material thereon during the con- struction oi_such building or improvement, under such regulations as said Board of Trustees may establish by ordinance or reso- lution; and provided further, that the pro- hibitiou of this ordinance shall not apply to bicycles. SNC. 2. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be Fuuished by a flee of not less than five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, or by imprison- meut in the City Jail of said City of Ana- heim for a term not exceeding fifty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. SEc.3. All ordinances or parts of ordi- nances of said City of Anaheim in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Sac. 4 The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance, and cause the same to be published once is the ANAHEIM WEEKLY GAZETTE, and thereupon and there- after the same shall be in force and effect.
