ORDINANCE NO. 269. An Ordinance calling and provid- ing for and giving notice of a special election to be held in the City of Anaheim. State of Cali- fornia. on Tuesday the 27th day of January,.1914, tate object be- ing to submit to the qualified electors of said city a proposition to incur a bonded debt by the said city for the purpose of the acquisition of fire apparatus for said. city, also a proposition to incur a bonded debt by said city for the purpose of the acquisition and construction of a building for municipal uses: To -wit, a building for the use of the fire department of said city, and al- so a proposition to incur a bond- ed debt by said city for the pur- pose of the acquisiti3n of land for park purposes. WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim did on the 28th day of No- vember, 1913, by a vote of more than two- thirds of the members of said Board, adopt a resolution determining that the public in- terest and necessity demanded the acquisi- tion of fire apparatus for said city the cost of which was estimated at Seven Thousand Dollars ($7,000.00), which cost will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said municipality, and also determining that the public interest and necessity demanded the acquisition and construction of a building for municipal uses, to -wit: A building for the use of the fire department of said city, the cost of which was est,,=ted at Eight Thousand Dollars ($8.000.00), which cost will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said municipality, and also determining that the public interest and ne- cessity demanded the acquisition of land for park purposes the cost of which was esti- mated at Twenty Thousand Dollars ($2o,- oob.00), which cost will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and re,-enue of said municipality, which resolu- tion Was on the 28th day of November, 1913, duly approved by the President of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, who is the executive of said municipality. SECTION 3. Any qualified elector of the City of Anaheim may vote at said special election for or against any or all of the propositions herewith submitted. To vote in favor of and authorize the incurring of a bonded debt for the purpose set forth in any of the propositions herein stated, he shall stamp a cross (X) in the square to the right of the word YES" printed opposite such proposition, and to vote against and refuse to authorize the incurring of a bonded debt for the purpose set forth in any of the propositions herein stated, he shun stamp a cross (X) in the square to the right of the word `NO'' printed opposite such proposition.
