ORDINANCE NO. 278 An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 170 of the City of Anaheim, Entitled "An Ordinance Providing for the Licensing of Business Carried on In the City of Anaheim," Passed and Adopted on the 22nd Day of August, 1905, by Adding a New Section Thereto. The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim do ordain as follows: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 170 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Ana- heim, entitled, "An Ordinance Providing for the Licensing of Business Carried on in the City of Anaheim," which said ordi- nance was passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the said City of Anaheim on the 22nd day of August, 1905, be amended by adding a new sec- tion thereto to be numbered and desig- nated as Section 27A, which shall be in words andfigures following, to -wit: "Section 27A. For every person, firm or corporation, conducting or carrying on the business of running, conducting or op- erating a stage line to, from or through said city or any part thereof and oper- ating one vehicle in the conduct of such business, $5.00 per quarter; and for every person, firm or corporation operating more than one vehicle in the conduct of such business, $2.50 per quarter for each ve- hicle in excess of one. "'Phe words of line' as thesame are used in this section shall be construed to mean the business of operating one Or more automobiles, carriages or other ve- hicles for the carrying of passengers for hire and operating on schedule time to or from designated points within said city." Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Anaheim Gazette, a weekly newspaperof' general circulation, printed, published and circulated In said city and thirty days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
