ORDINANCE NO. 284 An Ordinance Ordering the Closing up in Part of West Sycamore Street In the City of Anaheim from a Point 6.5 Feet Westerly From the Easterly Line of Block C5 In the Langenberger Tract According to a Map Thereof Recorded In Book 1, at Page 550 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, Cali- fornia, to the Westerly Line of Said Block C5. WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, did on the 8th day of October, 1914, pass and adopt its Res- olution of Intention No. 103 to order the closing up in part of West Sycamore Street in the City of Anaheim from a point six and five -tenths (6.5) feet West- erly from the Easterly line of Block C5 of the Langenberger tract, according to a map thereof recorded in Book 1, at page 550 of Miscellaneous records of Los Angeles County, California, to the West- erly line of said Block C5, and WHEREAS the Superintendent of Streets of the said City of Anaheim did thereafter cause to be published and posted in the manner and form required by law, notices of the passage of, said Resolution of Intention, and WHEREAS, no written objections to said work or improvement having been made or filed with the City Clerk of said city and the time for filing said objec- tions having expired, NOW, THEREFORE The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim do or- dain as follows: SECTION 1. That the said Board of Trustees does now find that no written objection to said work has been made or filed with the City Clerk of said City of Anaheim and that said Board of Trustees has acquired jurisdiction to or- der said work. SECTION 2. That the following street work be done in said city; That West Sycamore Street in said city from a point 6.5 feet Westerly from the Easterly line of Block C5 of the Langenberger Tract according to a map thereof recorded in Book 1, at page 550 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, Cali- fornia, to the Westerly line of Block C5, be closed up in part. SECTION 3. That the lands necessary and convenient to be taken for said pur- pose are described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a point in the Northerly line of Vineyard lot C5 of the Langen- berger Tract as shown on a map re- corued in Book 1 at page 550, Miscel- laneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, said point of beginning being six and five -tenths (6.5) feet Westerly from the Easterly line of said lot; thence Westerly along the Northerly lines of said lot, one thousand one hundred four and five -tenths (1,104.5) feet more or less to the Westerly line of said lot; thence Northerly in the extended West- erly line of said lot ten (10) feet; thence Easterly parallel to the Northerly line of said lot, One thousand one hundred four and five -tenths (1104 5) feet more or less to a point six and five tenths (6.5) feet Westerly from the extended Easterly line of said lot; thence Southerly parallel to the extended Easterly line of said lot, ten (10) feet to place of beginning. SECTION 4. That no damage will re- sult from said work and improvement and it is hereby determined and declared that no assessment is necessary there- for and that no commissioners shall be appointed to assess any benefits or dam- ages or to have general supervision or any supervision of said work or im- provement or otherwise. SECTION 5. The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall certify to the pas- sage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Anaheim Gazette a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and cir- culated in the said City of Anaheim and thirty days from and after its final pas- sage the same shall take effect and be in full force.
