A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM Rk~DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
ESTABLISHING THE BASE YEAR ASSESSMENT ROLL IT PROPOSES TO
USE FOR THE WEST ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
AMENDMENT AREA AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSMITTAL OF A MAP,
BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION, AND S~FATEMENT TO TAXING O~'iCIALS AND
AGENCIES AND THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
W'I4EREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim (the "City Council") adopted the
Redevelopment Plan for the Brookhurst Commercial Corridor Redevelopment Project (the "Brookhurst
Redevelopment Plan") on December 7, 1993, by Ordinance No. 5412; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33333.6 of California Community Redevelopment Law, the
Brookhurst Redevelopment Plan was amended by the City Council on December 13, !994, by
Ordinance No. 5466; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Anaheim (the "Redevelopment
Agency") is proposing to add territory (the "Amendment Area") to the Brookhurst Redevelopment
Project and change the name of the proposed amended project to the West Anaheim Redevelopment
Project; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim (the "Planning Commission")
was directed by the City Council to select the boundaries of a redevelopment project area or
redevelopment project area amendment from within the Survey Area designated by the City Council,
and to formulate a preliminary plan (the "Preliminary Plan') for the redevelopment of the area
selected; and,
WHEREAS, on November 10, 1997, the Planning Commission designated the boundaries of
the Amendment Area and adopted a Preliminary Plan for the redevelopment of the Amendment Area;
and,
WHEREAS, Section 33327 of the California Community Redevelopment Law {Health and
Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.) provides that the Agency shall transmit to certain taxing officials
and agencies, and the State Board of Equalization, a map and description of the boundaries of the
Amendment Area sele~xed by the Planning Commission, together with a statement that a plan for the
redevelopment of the area is being prepared; and,
V*q-IEREAS, Section 33328 of the Community Redevelopment Law requires the Agency to
advise such taxing officials and agencies of the base year assessment roll the Agency proposes to use
for the allocation of taxes pursuant to Section 33670 of the Community Redevelopment Law.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency
as follows:
SECTION 1: The assessment roll last equalized on August 20, 1997, is the assessment roll
the Agency proposes to use for the allocation of taxes to the West Anaheim Redevelopment Project
Amendment Area.
