THF-P'AS, the Poard of Trustees of the City of Anaheim,
at its regular meeting; held in said city on the 14th day of
3eptenber, 1921, by a vote of more than two-thirds of the members
of said Poard of Trustees, did pass and adopt a resolution deter-
mining that the public interest ar d also the public necessity
demand the construction and conrletion of a certain r-uniciraal
improvement in the lity of Anaheim, to --Tit: the cormletion of
the plablic nark in said city commonly kno-m as "Anaheim Park",
includin- the installation and rlantin^; thereon of trees, flowers,
l awns and shrubbery, and the installation: construction and com-
pletion of the walks, drives, parking;s and other ir!rrovements
necessary or proper for a municipal park, including such improve-
ments in aid of rulbl ie recreation as are permitted to said pity
of Anaheir under the laws of the Stats of lalifornia.
The cost of the constraction and comrietion of which
said municipal improvement -vas estimated at One Hundred Thousand
(,0100, 000.00) Dollars, which said cost was and is too great to
be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said

(15,000.00) Dollars, which said cost was and is too great to be

paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said city;
22 And also determining that the public interest and also

the public necessity demand the acquisition, construction and

completion of the necessary equipment for the lighting, by means
25
of ornamental electric lights, of the following streets in said
26
city, to -wit: North Laos Angeles Street between cypress Street
27
and La Palma Street, South Los Angeles Street between Proadway
28
Street and Broad Street, North Lemon Street between `Rest Center
29
Street and Test Forth Street, West ^enter Street between
30
Clementine Street and Adams Street, Fast Center Street between
31
32 South Philadelphia Strut and the easterly boundary line of said
city, and Lincoln Avenue from hzorth Test Street to the westerly
1 boundary line of said city.

11 of a certain municipal improv9ment, to -wit: the completion of a
12 certain building in the City of Anaheim for municipal uses, con -
13 taining offices for city officials, a room or chamber for the
14 holding of meetings of the Board of Trustees and other officials,
15 boards and tribunals of said city, rooms for the housing; and
16 safekeeping; of prisoners of said city, to be used for the purpose
17 of a city jail, and rooms and quarters for the housing of fire
18 apparatus of said city and for the necessary accommodations for
19 members of its fire department.
20 The cost of the completion of which said municipal
21 improvement was estimated at Forty Thousand (40,000.00) Dollars,
22 which said cost was and is too great to be raid out of the
23
ordinary annual income and revenue of said city.

SECTION 1. A special election is hereby called and

ordered to be held in the City of Anaheim, State of California,

on Tuesday, the 14th day of P ovemher, 1922, the object being to

submit to the qualified electors of said city a proposition -to
30
incur a bonded indebtedness by the City of Anaheim to the amount
31
of One TTundred Thousand (P100,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of

the construction and cormaletion by the City of Anaheim of the

being the amount of the principal of the indebtedness to be
incurred therefor; the rate of interest to be paid on said indeb

able semi-annually, the principal and interest of said indebted-
ness to be paid in gold coin of the United States of America;

15 keeping of prisoners of said city, to be used for the purpose of
16 a city jail, and rooms and quarters for the housing of fire
17 apparatus of said city and for the necessary accommodations for
18 members of its fire department, the estimated cost of which
19
improvement is Forty Thousand (140,000.00) Dollars, in gold coin
20 of the United States of America, said sum of Forty Thousand
21
(.1,40, 000.00) Dollars being the amount of the principal of the
22
indebtedness to be incurred therefor; the rate of interest to be
23
paid on said indebtedness will be not tq exceed six per cent
24
(3%) per annum, payable semi-annually, the principal and interest
25
of said indebtedness to be naid in gold coin of the united States
26
of America.

SECTION 2. The special election hereby called and
28
ordered to be held, shall be held and conducted and the votes
29
thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof made
30
and the results thereof ascertained, determined and declared,
31
32 as herein provided and according to the laws of the State of

I California providing for and governing elections in the City of
2 Anaheim, and the polls for such elections shall be and remain
3 open during the time required by said laws, and as follows:
4 From Sig (6) o'clock A. M. when said polls shall be
5 opened, and said polls must remain open until Seven (7) o'clock
6 P. M. of said day, when they shall be closed, extent as -provided
7 by Section 1164 of the Political Code of the State of California.
8 The ballots to be used at such special election shall
9 be such as may be required by law to be used thereat and in
10 addition to any other matter required by law to be printed there-
11 on, shall appear the following:

13 "To vote on any proposition hereinafter set forth,
14 stamp a cross ( X) in the voting square after the word "YES" or
15 after the word "NO". All marks extent the cross (X) are for-
16 bidden. All distinguishing marks or erasures are forbidden and

18 this ballot, return it to the Inspector of Election and obtain
19 another.

6 established by said Roard of Supervisors on the 23rd day of
7 May, 1322, shall be and the same are hereby consolidated and
$ shall be known and designated as "Consolidated Voting Precinct

Precinct No. 1 shall be at the Anaheim Inion High School, at the
corner of West renter Street and North Oitron.3treet in said city.
The polling place in and for Consolidated Election -
Precinct No. 2 shall be at the Ford Garage, at No. 320 North Los
Angeles Street in said city.
The polling place in and for Consolidated Election
Precinct No. 3 shall be at the Franklin -Nash Sales Room, at "-
332 West Center Street in said city.
The polling; place in and for Consolidated Election
Precinct leo. 4 shall be at the Rcoadway School, on the south side
of East Broadway Street, between South Clive Street and Mouth
Melrose Street in said city.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to procure all
supplies that may be necessary to rronerly and lawfully conduct
said special election.
Then the polls are closed the officers of election shall
count the ballots cast at such special election and canvass the
votes cast respectively for and against each nroposition herein
stated and rake return thereof to the Poard of Trustees of the

ing, canvassing and returning of votes cast at other special

SECTTOP 6. If, at such special election, it shall
appear that two-thirds of all the voters voting at such election
are in favor of and authorize the incurring of a bonded debt for
the pmrpose set forth in any of the propositions herein stated,
then such proposition shall be deer_ed to have been accepted by
the electors and bonds will be issued to defray the cost of the
