ed and 'adopted by the Board of
Trustees of said City on the 8thj
day of July, 1915, be and the Same,
Is hereby amended to read as fol- I
lows: "Section 8. Within thirty
days after this Ordinance takes et-
ftet, the Board of Trustees of the
City of Anaheim shall appoint al
driver of any motor fire -truck
bow or which may hereafter bel
owned or acquired by said City o_ I
.Anaheim. Such driver shall be aj
licensed chauffeur as provided by

the Motor Vehicle Act of the State
of California, and shall be a coni

to operate said fire -truck and to

adopted by the Board of Trustees'
Of said City on the aCrr day of,
July, 1915, be and the same is
hereby amended to read as fol -

every month, cause a warrant to,
be drawn on the Treasurer of said:
City, signed by the President of;
its Board of Trustees and coun-
tersigned by the City Clerk of,
said City, in the sum of Two Hun-

SECTION 1. That Section 8 of Ordinance Number 288 of
the City of Anaheim, entitled, "An Ordinance providing for the or•
ganization of a fire company in and for the City of Anaheim and
providing for the government thereof, and for the care and custod;
of fire fighting apparatus of said City," passed and adopted by
the Board of Trustees of said City on the 8th day of July, 1915,
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows; "Section 8,
Sithin thirty days after this Ordinance takes effect, the Board of
Trustees of the City of Anaheim shall appoint a driver of any mot-
or fire -truck now or which may hereafter be owned or acquired by
said City of .Anaheim. Such driver shall be a licensed chauffeur
as provided by the T:'otor Vehicle Act of the State of California,
and shall be a competent mechanic and chauffeur, and it shall be
the duty of said driver to operate said fire -truck and to keep the
same and the equipment appurtenant thereto, in good order and re-
pair.
Said driver or his assistants to be hereafter appointed
as hereinafter provided, shall at all times be on duty and ready
to respond to the alarms of fire.
The compensation of such driver shall be One Hundred
'Twenty-five ($125.00) Dollars per month, which shall be paid at
the

meeting of the said Board of Trustees of each and every month,
cause a warrant to be drawn on the Treasurer of said City, signed
by the President of its Board of Trustees and countersued by
the City Clerk of said City, in the sum of Two Hundred Twenty-fiv
(225.00) Dollars, which said sum shall be used by said fire com-
pany for the support and maintenance thereof in such manner as
may be provided by its by-laws, to be approved by said Board of
Trustees as herein provided.
