NANCE NO. 340 OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM, ENTITLED: "AN OR-
DINANCE FIXING THE COMVEN-
SATION OF THE: MARSHAL AND
DEPUTY MARSHALS OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM," PASSED
AND ADOPTED !BY THE BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ON THE 12TH DAY OF
DECEMBER, 1918.
The Board of Trustees of the City
of Anaheim do ordain as follows:
Section 1. That Section 2 of ')r-
dinance -No. 340 of the City of )a -
helm, entitled: "An Ordinance Fixing
the Compensation of the Marshal and
Deputy Marshals of the City of Ana-
heim," passed and adopted by said
Board of Trustees of the City of
Anaheim, on the 12th day of De-
cember, 1918, be, and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 2. The Marshal shall ap-
point, subject to the approval of said
Board of Trustees of said City, one
or more Deputy Marshals, which of-
fices are hereby created. The com.
pensation of such Deputy Marshals
shall be One Hundred Thirty-five
(73135.00) Dollars per month each, for
all. services to be hereafter rendered
by them, which compensation shall
be payable monthly out of the General
Fund in the Treasury of said City,
provided that one or more Deputy
Marshals so appointed shall, subject
to the approval of said Board of
Trustees, serve as traffic officers for
said City, .and each such traffic of-
ficer shall supply himself, at his own
expense, with a suitable motorcycle
for said services, and the compensa-
tion of each such Deputy Marshal act-
ing• as such traffic officer, shall be
One Hundred Sixty-five ($165.00) Dol-
lars per month, for all services to be
hereafter rendered by him, including
the upkeep of said motorcycle, and in
addition thereto, the Marshal may, at
any time, and subject to the approval
of the Board of Trustees of said City,
appoint onip or more Deputy Marshals,
which offices are hereby created, and
who shall, under the direction and con-
trol of the"`Marshal of said City, serve
without receiving any compensation
from said City."
Section 2. All ordinances and parts
of ordinances in conflict with the pro-
visions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section 3. The City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim shall certify to the
passage of this ordinance, and cause,
the same to be published once in the
Anaheim -Gazette, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed, pub-
lished, and circulated in said City,
and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect
and be in full force.
The foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted at a regular adjourned
meeting of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Anaheim, held on the 30th
day of April, 1925, and the same is
-hereby signed, approved and attested
by me this 30th day of April, 1925.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim do ordain as
