THE SALE AND ADVERTISING FOR SALE, OF GOODS, MARES AND MER►-

5 The City Council of the City of Anaheim do ordain as follows:
6 Section 1. REQUIREMENTS: It shall be unlawful for any person
7 to represent and/or hold out that any sale of goods, wares and
8 merchandise is an insurance, bankruptcy, mortgage, insolvency, as—t

27 exceed three months, together with a statement that no goods, ware
28 and merchandise have been purchased and/or received during the

29 period of thirty (30) days immediately preceding the date of such
30 application for the purpose of adding same to that in stock for
31sale, the reason for such sale, an inventory of goods, showing the
32 actual purchase price, names of persons from whom such goods were

2 ( goods, and all details necessary to fully identify the goods to

Sec. 7. This ordinance shall not apply to public or court
officers or to any person acting under the direction of State or
Federal courts in the course of their official duties.
Sec. 8. PXXALTY: Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed
Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in the city
jail of the City of Anaheim for a period not exceeding six (6)
months, or by both such fine and imprisonment; and each such
person, as principal, agent, or otherwise, shall be deemed
guilty of a separate offense for each sale of goods not inventorie
and for each day, during any portion of which the violation of , os
failure, neglect or refusal to comply with any of the provisions
of this ordinance is committed, continued or permitted by such
person.
See. 9. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance by the City Council of the City of Anaheim and cause
the same to be published once in the Anaheim Gazette and to be
posted in three (3) conspicuous places in the City of Anaheim, anc
it shall take effect thirty (30) days after its final passage.
