2001-189RESOLUTION NO. 2001R-189 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTING NEW FEE SCHEDULES FOR BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION. WHEREAS, Section 15.02.070 of the Anaheim Municipal Code authorizes the City Council to establish fees for permits, inspections, re-inspections and other activities relating to the Uniform Codes pertaining to the regulation of building and construction activities; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to adopt new fee schedules for those building and construction activities; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered said proposed fees at a public meeting notice of which has heretofore been given in the manner required by Section 66016 of the Government Code and at which meeting oral and written presentations were invited and considered concerning said fee and service charge increases: and WHEREAS, the City Council finds and declares that adoption of this fee schedule is exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to Section 21080(b(8) of the Public Resources Code and California Code of Regulations Section 15273 in that the fees and rates are established to meet operating expenses, including employee wage rates and fringe benefits; purchasing or leasing supplies, equipment or materials; and WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that the hereinafter specified fees and services charges do not exceed the estimated amount required to provide the service for which the fee or service charge is levied. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: 1. The fees set forth in the following fee schedules shall be, and the same are hereby, adopted: Anaheim Building Code: Building Permit Fees, Attached as Exhibit A Anaheim Electrical Code: Electrical Permit Fees, Attached as Exhibit B Anaheim Mechanical Code: Mechanical Permit Fees, Attached as Exhibit C Anaheim Plumbing Code: Plumbing Permit Fees, Attached as Exhibit D 2. The fees established herein shall become effective sixty (60) days following the date of adoption of this Resolution. 3. The fees established herein shall, upon the effective date of said fees, supersede any previously adopted fees for the same permit or approval. 4. The City Council hereby declares that should any one or more fees established by this Resolution or any portion of this Resolution be declared for any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of the City Council that it would have adopted all other fees and portions of this Resolution independent of the elimination herefrom of any such fee or such portion as may be declared invalid.
