and asked her to share her background with the Board.

B.Outgoing:Letter to Agencies: Joe statedthat a copy of one of the letters sent to agencies for their
presentations was provided to Board Membersin theirpackets.

August 11, 2011,meeting; Board Member Kelsoseconded the motionand it passedwith eightayesand two
abstentions.

Board Member Kelso indicated he felt he may have a conflict of interest with the Learning Light Foundation since
his wife used toattend the church. Chair Aitken indicated there was no conflict in his listening to the presentation
and the determination will be made whether or not he should excuse himself from the vote for that agency.
Additionally, questions were asked of some agencies with additional information requested by Board Members.
B.2011 Meeting & Presentation Schedule: No discussion.
INFORMATIONALITEMS
8.:Board Member Kelsoreported that Congressman Gary Miller is hosting a pre-
application program for appointmentsto West Point,Annapolisand the Air Force Academy next Tuesday at 7 p.m.
at the Nixon Library.

Board Member Beas reported that Muzeo’s gala will take place on October 22with a Victorian theme, and the
Carnegie Library will have an exhibit on steam punk. The Historical Society will have an event on Saturday from
2-5 p.m. at Founders’ Park with presentations on the Citrus era and its effects on Anaheim, and a presentation on
Andy Anaheim, free lemonade from Anaheim lemons, and free orange ice cream sodas courtesy of Ruby’s.
