A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN
DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 2000-00381.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim, adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of July, 2001, the City
Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public
hearing to consider a General Plan Amendment. The General Plan
Amendment does consider changing the land use designation for the
area of land consisting of-
Parcel 1: A rectangularly-shaped 4.59 acre
property located at the southeast corner of
Crescent Avenue and Magnolia Avenue with
frontages of 209 feet on the south side of
Crescent Avenue and 1,018 feet on the east
side of Magnolia Avenue, and further
described as 2497 West Crescent Avenue and
430 through 590 North Magnolia Avenue.
Parcel 2: A rectangularly-shaped 17.54-acre
property located at the southwest corner of
Crescent Avenue and Gilbert Street, having
frontages of 1,273 feet on the south side of
Crescent Avenue and 589 feet on the west side
of Gilbert Street, and further described as
2400 West Crescent Avenue and 511 through 541
North Gilbert Street; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC2001-8~ c0ntaininu
a report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at
said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General
Plan designated as Amendment No. 2000-00381 be adopted by the
City Council changing the land use designation for the
aforedescribed area to "Low-Medium Density Residential" in
accordance with Exhibit "A" (Parcel 1) and Exhibit "B" (Parcel
2); and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 28th day of
August, 2001, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
Amendment No. 2000-00381 and did give notice thereof in the
manner and as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct
such public hearing and did give all persons interested therein
an opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports
and did consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 2000-00381 changing the land use designation in the
aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with
the City should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 2000-00381 to the General
Plan changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed
area to "Low Medium Density Residential" in accordance with
Exhibit "A" (Parcel 1) and Exhibit "B" (Parcel 2) on file with
the City be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment No. 2000-00381 as herein
adopted and approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 28th day of August,
2001.
