AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CONSENT-
ING TO THE CITY OF GARDEN GROVE FURNISHING
WATER SERVICES TO INHABITANTS OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City of Garden Grove (hereinafter some-
times referred to as "GARDEN GROVE") and the Dyke Water Company
have executed a certain agreement entitled 10THE CITY OF GARDEN
GROVE THE DYKE WATER COMPANY WATER WORKS ACQUISITION AGREEMENT
1960,' (hereinafter sometimes referred to as "AGREEMENT1°)
pursuant to which GARDEN GROVE expects to acquire the property
and assets of the Dyke Water Company; and
WHEREAS, some of the property and assets to be sold
and transferred pursuant to said AGREEMENT are used for or
useful in rendering water service to customers of said Dyke
Water Company within the City of Anaheim (hereinafter some-
times referred to as "ANAHEIM"), and it is necessary for
GARDEN GROVE to acquire such property and assets in order to
acquire the water works used for or useful in rendering water
service to the inhabitants of GARDEN GROVE; and
WHEREAS it is in the best interests of ANAHEIM that
it acquire from URDEN GROVE the property and assets used for
or useful in rendering water services to customers of said
Dyke dater Company within "The Anaheim System" which shall
mean that portion of the Dyke 'Water System as defined in
Section II, Subsection 2.02 of the James Montgomery Report on
Water System Development, Part 1, Inventory and Appraisal of
the Dyke Water Company dated September, 1959, and as shown on
Plate I, Vicinity Map and Proposed Water System Boundaries
prepared by James Montgomery and dated June, 1959; and
tN'HEREAS, an option and agreement has been drafted
and executed by the City of Garden Grove and the City of
Anaheim to enable such acquisition to be accomplished which
said option and agreement is dated the 24th day of February,
1961, and is hereby referred to and incorporated by reference
and made a part hereof.
NO'W, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That the City of Anaheim does hereby consent to the
City of Garden Grove furnishing water service to inhabitants
of the City of Anaheim by use of the property and assets
acquired under "THE CITY OF GARDEN GROVE, THE DYKE WATER
COMPANY WATER 'WORKS ACQUISITION AGREEMENT, 1960.11
SECTION 2:
That the consent expressed and given by this ordinance
is subject to the separate, distinct and cumulative limitations
and provisions as more particularly set forth in said option and
agreement made and entered into by and between the City of
Garden Grove and the City of Anaheim on the 24th day of
February, 1961, a copy of which is incorporated herein by

reference and made a part hereof as though set forth in
full herein.
SECTION, 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by
me this 7th day of March , 1961.

I, DEME M. WILLIAMS, City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 1554 was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Anaheim held on the 28th day of
February, 1961, and that the same was duly passed and adopted at a regular
meeting of said City Council held on the 7th day of March, 1961, by the
following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Chandler, Coons, Fry, Thompson and Schutte
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
AND I FURTHER.CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
approved and signed said Ordinance No. 1554 on the 7th day of March, 1961.
