Sesquicentennial Commission Meeting Minutes
August 3, 2004 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Zlaket at 7:35 a.m.
The meeting minutes for the previous meeting were approved by the Commission.
The meeting began with introduction of the Commission's newest members, Kristin Nolt of The
Disneyland Resort and Tim Ryan of the Arrowhead Pond.
John Nicoletti and Selma Mann, from the City Attorney office, presented sponsorship
accounting options for funds raised specifically for the Sesquicentennial. Options included:
• Utilizing the Anaheim Community Foundation and earmarking funds for
Sesquicentennial events.
• Form a Sesquicentennial specific 501c3.
• Bank funds in an account managed by the City Manager's Office and overseen
by the Finance Department.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously approved by the Commission that recommendations
be made to Council that we form a dedicated 5010 specifically for Sesquicentennial usage.
An update on Autumn in Anaheim was presented to the Commission. The Commission
requested that other brand identities for the annual event be explored.
Assignment of Commission sub - committee responsibilities was presented by Chairperson
Zlaket. The Sub - Committee Chairs were asked to provide the following at the October 19
meeting:
• A vision statement;
• Goals for each of the sub - committees;
• Community member names that can support each sub - committee effort; and
• Projected funding that may be needed to accomplish sub - committee goals.
Staff presented a list of monument artists, recommended locations and costs, as had been
requested at the previous meeting, held April 20, 2004.
For the next meeting, the Commission asked staff to present information related to a "walk of
fame." In addition, the Commission requested that presentations be scheduled for the Anaheim
Historical Society and The Disneyland Resort's Disneyland's 50 Anniversary.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 a.m. Next meeting: Tuesday, October 19, 2004 will be held
at the Anaheim Museum.
