CALL TO ORDER–Chairman Manescalled the meeting to order at 5:34p.m.

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES–Chairman Manespresented the October 23,2013Minutes to the Commissioners forchanges
or corrections. Commissioner Levymade a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Huitt.There being no
further additions or corrections, Chairman Manesaccepted the Minutes.
REPORTS
A.ParksActivity Report –September/October–Larry Pascopresented the reportand answered questions regarding the
Miraloma Park and Community Center groundbreaking eventand the replacement of the goal posts at Glover Stadium.
Lynn Smith answered questions regarding the usage of facilitiesby organized groups and scheduling of fields, the opening
of the Fullerton Armory, and the new camping ordinance that will go into effect on December 13, 2013.
Pamela Galera answered questions regarding the KaBOOM! project at Modjeska Park.
B.Recreation and Human Services Park Ranger Report –September–Lynn Smithpresented the reportand answered
questions regardingthe numbers provided on the report, curfew, and the purpose of the statistics given.
C.Parks Capital Project Progress Report–Pamela Galera presented the reportand answered questions, provided updates,
and answered questions on the following projects:
Miraloma–Construction began this week.
Paul Revere Park–The contract for construction will be presented to City Council in January for approval. The
groundbreaking ceremony will take place in January.
PonderosaPark–Workshops were held for the playground, spray park and skate park and were well-attended.
Ross Park Expansion–A Lease Agreement will be presented to City Council for approval.
Woelke-Stoffel House Roof Replacement–Construction began this week to replace the roof.
Pamela Galera answered questions and discussed the grant process for capital projects with Commissioners.

D.Senior Citizen Sub-Committee Report–Commissioner Huitt reportedthe Senior Citizen Advisory Council (SCAC)
Legislative Committee re-authorized the Deaf and Disabled Telecommunication Bill and the Federal Older Americans Act of
1965.Commissioner Levy briefly discussed the re-authorization of these Billsand the role of the California Senior
Legislation(CSL).Commissioner Huittrequested Eleanor Granflor to scan the California Senior Legislature News Release
of October 10, 2013 and share with the Commissioners.
A short discussion was held among the Commissioners regarding the role of SCAC. Vice Chairman Brennan requested
thata speaker attend a Commission meeting to present information onthe role of SCAC and CSL.CommissionerHuitt
stated she will contact the President ofSCAC to possiblypresent at the February 2014 Parks and Recreation Commission
meeting.
Commissioner Huitt stated the Anaheim Senior Health & Wellness Expo that was held on November 18, 2013 at the
Downtown Anaheim Community Center was not a well-attended event. Wendy Solorio clarifiedthe event was not a City
sponsored event and that itwas run by a privateorganization.
NEW BUSINESS–None
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS–Chairman Manesreported there are three holiday tree lighting events scheduled in Anaheimat
Twila Reid Park, Downtown Anaheim, and Anaheim Hills.
Vice Chair Brennan reported the City parks are looking good –playgrounds are safe and restrooms are clean.
