A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT
FUNDS AWARDED TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM BY THE
CALIFORNIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY,
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2013 -14 ANTI HUMAN
TRAFFICKING TASK FORCE GRANT, AND AMENDING
THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2013 -14
ACCORDINGLY
WHEREAS, The State of California, California Emergency Management
Agency, (the "Grantor ") has heretofore invited public agencies, including the City of
Anaheim, to submit applications for the 2013 -14 Anti Human Trafficking Task Force
Grant (the "Grant'); and
WHEREAS, on November 30, 2013, the Chief of Police for the City of
Anaheim, by and through his designee, submitted an application on behalf of the City of
Anaheim to the Grantor for said Grant; and
WHEREAS, in response to that Grant application, the City of Anaheim
was awarded Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) in Grant funds by the
Grantor; and
WHEREAS, the Grantor has awarded the City of Anaheim an additional
Eighty Four Thousand Two Hundred and Two Dollars ($84,202.00), which the City
desires to accept; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is familiar with the terms, conditions and
limitations of the Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is willing and able to conform to each of
the terms, conditions and limitations imposed upon the City of Anaheim pursuant to said
Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the annual budget of the
City of Anaheim to reflect and incorporate the additional Eighty Four Thousand Two
Hundred and Two Dollars ($84,202.00) in Grant funds awarded to the City, and to
increase the annual appropriations and expenditures in the appropriate City of Anaheim
program to reflect such award; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
1. The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby agrees to, and by
this Resolution, does accept the additional Eighty Four Thousand Two Hundred and
Two Dollars ($84,202.00) in Grant funds awarded to the City of Anaheim.
2. The City of Anaheim hereby agrees to comply with each and all of
the terms, conditions and limitations imposed by the Grantor upon said Grant, and the
Anaheim Police Department Chief of Police, or his designee, is hereby authorized and
directed to execute any agreements, assurances, or other documents as may be
necessary in connection with the acceptance and implementation of said Grant as may
be required by the Grantor.
3. The annual budget of the City of Anaheim for Fiscal Year 2013 -14
shall be amended by increasing the appropriations and authorized expenditures in the
appropriate Police Department program account in such amounts as are equal to the
amount of Grant funds to be received by the City.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 25th day of February 2014, by the
following roll call vote:
