RESOLUTION OF THE CIY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE ANAHEIM FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION,
LOCAL NO. 2899, AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REGARDING
ARTICLE 44 (STAFFING) OF THE MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING.
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director met and conferred with officials and
employee representatives of the Anaheim Firefighters Association, Local No. 2899 regarding
ARTICLE 44 (STAFFING) of the Memorandum of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Firefighters Association, Local No. 2899 is in agreement with
the recommendations contained in said Letter of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated February 13, 2002
between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is the best interest
of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
said Letter of Understanding dated February 13, 2002, between the Anaheim Firefighters
Association, Local No. 2899, and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim the 5th day of March, 2002.

and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The City of Anaheim ("CITY'~ and the Anaheim Firefighters Association, Local No. 2899,
("AFA'~ after meeting and conferring, have reached an understanding to amend certain sections of
the Memorandum of Understanding, which is in effect from July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2005, as
follows:
1. Article 44 (Staffing) will be amended, as follows:
ARTICLE 44
STAFFING
44.1
ANAHEIM and the AFA agree that each Fire Company shall be assigned regular fulltime personnel
consisting of three (3) Captains, three (3) Engineers, and six (6) Firefighters (i.e. Fifteen (15) units
would include forty five (45) Captains, forty five (45) Engineers and ninety (90) Firefighters).
44.2 ANAHEIM and the AFA agree that this Article shall remain in effect through the 30th day of June, 2001
2005. ANAHEIM and the AFA aqree to reopen this Article if there is a reduction
reallocation, redistribution or diversion of existinq ANAHEIM revenue sou _r~e~ by tho,
