A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -016 WHICH
ESTABLISHES THE DAYS AND TIMES OF REGULAR
MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS FOR THE
2014 CALENDAR YEAR
WHEREAS, subsection .010 of Section 1.12.010 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
requires the City Council to establish the days and times of regular meetings of the City Council
by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore adopted resolutions from time to time
establishing the days and times of regular meetings of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on February 4, 2014, the City Council approved Resolution No. 2014 -016
amending and reestablishing the days for the regular meetings of the Council for the 2014
calendar year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, by this resolution, desires to amend Exhibit A of
Resolution No. 2014 -016, canceling and rescheduling a previously approved regular meeting of
the City Council for the 2014 calendar year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows:
SECTION 1.
Regular meetings of the City Council for calendar year 2014 shall be held on the days set
forth on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Regular meetings
of the City Council shall be scheduled to commence at 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise legally noticed
and posted.
SECTION 2.
In the event the City Council fails to adopt a resolution to establish regular meeting dates
for any calendar year, the regular meetings of the City Council for such calendar year shall be the
first and third Tuesday of each month, except any Tuesday which shall fall upon the day of, or
upon the day immediately following the day of, any authorized City holiday or any day
appointed by the President of the United States or by the Governor of the State of California for a
public feast, thanksgiving or holiday (collectively "holiday "), in which event the first Tuesday
thereafter which is neither a holiday or the day immediately following a holiday shall be a
regular meeting day. Regular meetings of the City Council for such calendar year shall be
scheduled to commence at 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise legally noticed and posted.
SECTION 3.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this resolution, any regular meeting of the
Council may be set, canceled or rescheduled to a different date, time or location by motion duly
adopted by the affirmative votes of at least three members of the City Council or by any other
manner as provided by law. The date, time and location of any meeting set or rescheduled to a
different date, time or location shall be noticed and posted in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 4.
This resolution shall supersede and render null and void the provisions of any prior
resolution to the extent such provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution.
SECTION 5.
This resolution shall become operative on the date of adoption.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 13 day of May, 2014, by the following roll call vote:
