A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE ANAHEIM POLICE MANAGEMENT
ASSOCIATION AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department met and conferred with
officials and employee representatives of the Anaheim Police Management Association
("APMA"), and reached an agreement modifying the wages, hours, and terms and
conditions of the existing Memorandum of Understanding, specifically addressing
employee compensation and employee pension contributions.
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, a Letter of Understanding dated July 16,
2014 between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the APMA is in agreement with the recommendations
contained in said Letter of Understanding; and as a result thereof, the Letter of
Understanciing dated July 16, 2014, has been signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in
the best interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated July 16, 2014 between the Anaheim
Police Management Association and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached
hereto and incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 12th day of August, 2014, by the following roll call
vote:

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING between the
ANAHEIM POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The Anaheim Police Management Association (hereinafter "APMA") and the City of
Anaheim (hereinafter "ANAHEIM"), after meeting and conferring, have agreed to
amend the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) they executed on August 14, 2012,
in the following respects:
A.1 APMA and ANAHEIM agree that effective the pay period beginning
August 15, 2014, ANAHEIM shall not report the nine percent (9%)
PERS employee contribution paid by ANAHEIM (PERS-on-PERS roll-
up) to the Ca1PERS as compensation earned in accordance with
Government Code section 20636(c)(4).
A.2 APMA and ANAHEIM agree that effective the pay period beginning
August 14, 2015, employees represented by the APMA shall receive a
twelve percent (12%) wage increase.
A.3 APMA and ANAHEIM agree that effective the pay period beginning
August 14, 2015, employees represented by the APMA enrolled in the
three percent at fifty (3.0%@50) benefit plan, shall contribute twelve
percent (12%) towards Ca1PERS pension benefits.
A.4 Changes specified in A.1, A.2, and A.3 above do not impact any
Ca1PERS reporting of individual's compensation made prior to the pay
period beginning August 15, 2014.
