CALL TO ORDER –The agenda having been posted at11:00 a.m. onSeptember 2,2014, the regular meeting of the

I.INTRODUCTION OF VISITORS AND COMMUNICATION FROM OTHERS:
A.FRIENDS OF THE ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY REPORT: None.
B.FRIENDSOF THE CANYON HILLS LIBRARY REPORT: They continue to send books to other APL
libraries. FOCAL is planning a November Book Sale. Plans are underway to celebrate Friends of the
Library Week in October. Their next meeting is September 18, 2014.
C.ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARYFOUNDATION REPORT:Cynthia reported that the Foundation will be
hosting more fundraisingevents during the year. The November focus this year will be ayouth drawing
bookmark contest with a prize for the winner. There will also be a Ruby’s FundraiserSeptember21-27,
20% of the proceeds will go to the Foundation.
