AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING SECTION 1.01.391 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO CODE ENFORCEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Section 1.01.391 of Chapter 1.01 of Title 1 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended to
read as follows:
111.01.391 CODE ENFORCEMENT - VEHICLE CODE
SECTIONS 22500.1 AND 22514
The Fire Marshal of the City of Anaheim, his
authorized deputies, all Fire Captains employed by the
City of Anaheim, the City Code Enforcement Officers,
any peace officer, traffic control officer or any
employee of the City of Anaheim authorized to issue
traffic citations, are authorized to give citations to
any and all persons violating the provisions of
Sections 22500.1 and 22514 of the California Vehicle
Code, or any successor provisions thereto, to appear in
the North Orange County Judicial District at a time
fixed in the citation, not less than five (5) days from
the date of the giving of the citation unless a shorter
period of time is requested by person to whom the
citation is given, and such citation shall be deemed to
be a complaint charging violations of this title. The
method of giving notice of citation for unattended
vehicles shall be as specified in Section 40202 of the
California Vehicle Code or any successor provision
thereto."
SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY
The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares
that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this
ordinance of the Code, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason
to be invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have
passed all other portions of this ordinance independent of the
elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be declared
invalid.
SECTION 3.
SAVINGS CLAUSE
Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal
of any other ordinance of this City shall in any manner affect
the prosecution for violations of ordinances, which violations
were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be
construed as a waiver of any license or penalty or the penal
provisions applicable to any violation thereof. The provisions

of this ordinance, insofar as they are substantially the same as
ordinance provisions previously adopted by the City relating to
the same subject matter, shall be construed as restatements and
continuations, and not as new enactments.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this lgday of June, 1991.
