A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING RATES OF
COMPENSATION AND PAY POLICIES FOR
UNREPRESENTED PART TIME JOB
CLASSIFICATIONS AND SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION
NO. 2007 -098 AND AMENDMENTS THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff
report dated May 19, 2015, that the rates 'of compensation and pay policies for
Unrepresented Part-Time job classifications be established; and
WHEREAS, the need exists to supersede Resolution No. 2007 -098 and
amendments thereto pertaining to rates of compensation and pay policies for
Unrepresented Part-Time job classifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
establishing new rates of compensation and pay policies for Unrepresented Part -Time job
classifications is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim.
Section 1.
. That, effective the pay period beginning July 3, 2015, the basic compensation
plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed, or will in
the future be employed in any of the job classifications fisted below, shall be allocated to
salary ranges as shown below.

That, classifications designated as Unrepresented Part Time are hereby amended
further by deleting the following classifications:

Section 6.
Effective the pay period following City Council approval, officers and employees of
the City of Anaheim who are now employed, or will in the future be employed on a part time
basis in any Unrepresented Part-Time classification, who are required to speak in Spanish
or other languages (including sign language), as well as English, as part of their regular
duties of their position will be compensated at the rate of seventy cents ($70) per hour in
addition to their regular pay.
Effective the pay period following City Council approval, officers and employees of
the City of Anaheim who are now employed, or will in the future be employed on a part time
basis in any Unrepresented Part -Time classification, who are required to speak, read,
and /or write in Spanish or other languages (including sign language), as well as English, as
part of their regular duties of their position will be compensated at the rate of ninety cents
($.90) per hour in addition to their regular pay.
Section 7
Effective the pay period beginning July 3, 2015, all officers and employees of the
City of Anaheim who are now employed, or will in the future be employed in any of the job
classifications set forth in this Resolution who are not CalPERS members, shall be required
to participate in the 457P Plan and shall contribute seven and one -half percent (7.5 %) of
his /her gross bi- weekly pay.
Section 8.
Effective the pay period beginning July 3, 2015, officers and employees of the City of
Anaheim who are now employed, or will in the future be employed in any of the job
classifications set forth in this Resolution and who are eligible for the 2.7 % @55 PERS
retirement benefit, shall pay twelve percent (12.00 %) employee contribution to the
retirement system. Such contributions shall be designated as "employer pick up"
contributions under the provisions of Section 414(h)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Section 9.
Pursuant to the California Public Employees' Pension Reform Act of 2013, new
officers and employees, employed in any of the jobs classifications set forth in this
Resolution, hired on or after January 1, 2013 and who are eligible for PERS retirement
benefits, shall be enrolled in the Public Employee's Retirement defined benefit plan of 2%
@ 62 with a final compensation measurement period of the average of three (3)
consecutive years and the employee paying at least fifty percent (50 %) of normal costs,
rounded to the nearest of one percent (1 %).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution is
May 19, 2015

the City of Anaheim this 1 9th day of May , 2015, by the following roll call vote:
