A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM REMOVING JANSS STREET FROM PERMIT -
ELIGIBLE PARKING DISTRICT NO. 30 ("CITRON-RESH
DISTRICT")
WHEREAS, Section 14.32.450 of Chapter 14.32 of Title 14 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code authorizes the City Council to, by resolution, designate any streets, or
portions thereof, as "Permit Parking Only" streets; and
WHEREAS, City Council Policy Number 5.7 (the "Council Policy") sets
forth a process to create a Permit -Eligible Parking District, and, following approval of the
District, establishing a process enabling individual streets within the identified District
boundary to request implementation of permit parking; and
WHEREAS, the City Council previously adopted Resolution No.2014-
175, restricting parking on certain city streets to permit parking only and thereby creating
Permit -Eligible Parking District No. 30 ("District No. 30"); and
WHEREAS, Council Policy sets forth a process by which Permit Parking
established on Streets may be rescinded; and
WHEREAS, the steps recommended in the Council Policy have been duly
followed to remove Janss Street from District No. 30, which areas are described and
depicted in attached Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, representatives of the community have met with the
Neighborhood Services District Team and the Traffic and Transportation Manager, or his
designee, to discuss removal of permit parking on Janss Street from District No. 30; and
WHEREAS, a survey was sent to determine if residents are in favor of
rescinding permit parking on Janss Street in District No. 30, and a minimum 30%
response rate among single family homes was achieved with a super majority of returned
surveys in favor of removing permit parking from those streets in conformance with the
Council Policy; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that permit
parking on Janss Street in District No. 30 is not necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim, that vehicular parking on the following described streets shall no longer be
part of Permit -Eligible Parking District 30.
a. Janss Street on both sides from Sycamore Street to Cypress Street.
