ORDINANCE NO. 4965
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
CHAPTER 1.04 OF TITLE 1 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE TO CREATE THE LABOR RELATIONS
DEPARTMENT AND THE POSITIONS OF LABOR
RELATIONS DIRECTOR AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
DIRECTOR.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That Section 1.04.110 of Chapter 1.04 of Title 1 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code be, and it is hereby, amended to provide as
follows:
"1.04.110 CITY DEPARTMENTS CREATED
There are hereby created the following
departments:
1. City Clerk Department
2. City Manager Department
3. City Treasurer Department
4. Community Development Department
5. Convention Center Department
6. Data Processing Department
7. Finance Department
8. Fire Department
9. Human Resources Department
10. Labor Relations Department
11. Legal Department
12. Library Department
13. Maintenance Services Department
14. Parks, Recreation and Community
Services Department
15. Planning Department
16. Police Department
17. Public Utilities Department
18. Public Works - Engineering Department
19. Stadium Department
SECTION 2.
That Chapter 1.04 of Title 1 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and it is hereby, amended by adding thereto Section
1.04.150 to provide as follows:
111.04.150 LABOR RELATIONS DEPARTMENT r
The Labor Relations Department shall be
under the supervision of the Labor Relations Director
which office is hereby created."
SECTION 3.
That Chapter 1.04 of Title 1 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and it is hereby, amended by adding thereto Section
1.04.220 to provide as follows:
"1.04.220 ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR
There is hereby created the office
of Administrative Services Director who shall act
as an aide to the City Manager in the performance
of the City Manager's duties."
SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY
The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares
that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this
ordinance, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be
invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed
all other portions of this ordinance independent of the elimination
herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid.
SECTION S. SAVINGS CLAUSE
Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal
hereby of any other ordinance of this City shall in any manner
affect the prosecution for violations of ordinances, Which
violations were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor
be construed as a waiver of any license or penalty or the penal
provisions applicable to any violation thereof. The provisions of
this ordinance, insofar as they are substantially the same as
ordinance provisions previously adopted by the City relating to the
same subject matter, shall be construed as restatements and
continuations, and not as new enactments.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 11th day of October,
1988.
