97-101A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING RATES OF
COMPENSATION FOR UNREPRESENTED PART -TIME JOB CLASSIFICATIONS
AND SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 91R -125 AND AMENDMENTS THERETO
RESOLUTION NO. 97R 101
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated June 10, 1997 that the
rates of compensation for selected part-time job classifications be adjusted; and
WHEREAS, the need exists to supersede Resolution No. 91R -125 and amendments thereto pertaining to
rates of compensation for unrepresented part-time job classifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that establishing new rates of compensation
for such job classes is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows:
Section 1.
The basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now
employed, or will in the future be employed in any of the job classifications listed below, shall be allocated to salary
schedules in the Salary Schedule Master effective June 27, 1997:

Section 2.

Section 3.
The basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now
employed, or will in the future be employed in any of the job classifications listed below, shall be allocated to salary
schedules in the Salary Schedule Master effective March 1, 1998:

Section 4.
Classifications listed in this section may be paid at any salary rate within the range.
Classification Salary Range
Recreation Class Instructor $8.00-S50.00
Section 5.
Part-time employees who are required to speak, read, and /or write in Spanish or other languages as well as
English as part of the regular duties of their position will be compensated at the rate of $.25 per hour in addition to
their regular pay.

Section 6.
Effective June 27, 1997, the employee contribution to the 457P plan for all part -time employees covered
by this Resolution who are not CaIPERS members shall be increased from 3.75% to 7.5% of biweekly gross pay.
Section 7.
Effective June 27, 1997, part -time employees who are CaIPERS members and covered by this Resolution
shall pay 3.75% of the required 7% CaIPERS contribution. Anaheim shall pay 3.25% of the statutorily required
7% employee contribution to the retirement system. Such contributions shall be designated as "employer pick up"
contributions under the provisions of Section 414 (h)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution is June 27, 1997.
THE FORGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
this 17th day of June, 1997.
