RES-2008-186WHEREAS, subsection .010 of Section 1.12.010 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
requires the City Council to establish the days and times of regular meetings of the City Council
by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore adopted resolutions from time to time
establishing the days and times of regular meetings of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish the days and times of the regular
meetings of the City Council in the manner hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows:
SECTION 1.
Regular meetings of the City Council for calendar year 2009 shall be held on the days set
forth on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Regular meetings
of the City Council shall be scheduled to commence at 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise legally noticed
and posted.
SECTION 2.
Regular meetings of the City Council for calendar year 2009 or any year thereafter shall
be on the days set forth in any subsequent resolution adopted by the City Council for such year.
SECTION 3.
RESOLUTION NO. 2008- 186
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING THE DAYS AND TIMES OF
REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
In the event the City Council fails to adopt a resolution to establish regular meeting dates
for any calendar year, the regular meetings of the City Council for such calendar year shall be the
first and third Tuesday of each month, except any Tuesday which shall fall upon the day of, or
upon the day immediately following the day of, any authorized City holiday or any day
appointed by the President of the United States or by the Governor of the State of California for a
public feast, thanksgiving or holiday (collectively "holiday in which event the first Tuesday
thereafter which is neither a holiday or the day immediately following a holiday shall be a
regular meeting day. Regular meetings of the City Council for such calendar year shall be
scheduled to commence at 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise legally noticed and posted.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this resolution, any regular meeting of the City
Council may be canceled or rescheduled to a different by a motion duly adopted by the
affirmative votes of at least three members of the City Council or by any other manner as
provided by law. The time and date of any meeting rescheduled to a different date shall be
legally noticed and posted.
This resolution shall supersede and render null and void the provisions of any prior
resolution to the extent such provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 28th day of October 2008, by the following roll call vote:
