A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF CRESCENT
AVENUE PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA STREETS AND
HIGHWAY CODE SECTION 8330, ET SEQ. SUMMARY
VACATION. (Abandonment No. ABA 2007 00153)
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency has requested the vacation of that
portion of Crescent Avenue located in Anaheim, California, as described in Exhibits "A" and "B"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency acquired property located at
Crescent Avenue and the I -5 Freeway for development of a 63 unit multi family housing project and
in conjunction with the multi family housing project, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency acquired
the adjacent former Crescent Avenue property from Caltrans to be used as open space; and
WHEREAS, that portion of Crescent Avenue served as an on -ramp to the I -5 and a
portion of that on -ramp was relinquished by Caltrans to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, that portion of Crescent Avenue will provide a usable landscape space,
instead of a vacant and unmaintained lot; and
WHEREAS, that portion of Crescent Avenue to be vacated is excess right -of -way
not necessary for present or prospective street or highway purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that portion of Crescent Avenue as more particularly
described in Exhibits "A" and "B attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, and
reserves unto the City of Anaheim an easement for 16" DIP water main, overhead electrical facilities
and a storm drain; and reserves unto Southern California Edison a 10 foot non exclusive easement
to maintain, operate, replace, remove, or renew existing overhead distribution facilities as shown on
Southern California's Facility Inventory Map 55 -10B attached hereto as Exhibit "C "attached hereto
and incorporated herein; and reserves unto Caltrans a non exclusive electrical easement as described
and shown in Exhibits "D" and "E" attached hereto and incorporated herein; and, reserves unto
Caltrans a non exclusive easement for irrigation purposes as described and shown in Exhibits "F"
and "G" attached hereto and incorporated herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby
authorized and directed, to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the Office
of the Recorder of the County of Orange.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date the certified copy of
this Resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Orange, the vacation
shall be complete and the public service easement vacated shall no longer constitute a public
service easement.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 1 6th day of December 2008, by the following roll call vote:

Section 8, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, as shown on
the Map filed in Book 51, Page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, said portion being a portion
of that and described in Easement Deed filed July 3, 1970 in Book 9337, Page 333 in the
Office of the Recorder of said County.
Together with a portion of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 8,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Meridian, according to the Official
Plat thereof on file in the Federal Bureau of Land Management, in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, acquired by the State of California by Deed
