1. CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:33 p.m. by Chair
Cudd.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Chair Cudd invited Board Member Brio to lead the Board in reciting the
Pledge of Allegiance.
3. INTRODUCTION OF VISITORS & PUBLIC COMMUNICATION
A. Scheduled Public Communication: None
B. Unscheduled Public Communication: Chair Cudd welcomed guests in attendance for the Mid -Year Funding
Updates and Joe Perez introduced the newest Board Member, Lori Farrow, and asked her to share her
background with the Board.

5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Board Member Barnett made a motion to approve the February 11, 2016
meeting minutes; Board Member Kelso seconded the motion; the motion passed with eight (8) ayes and no
abstentions.

A. FY 2015/2016 CSB Liaison Reports: No liaison reports were made; Joe Perez reminded the Board that this
item will remain on the agenda and asked Board members to notify city staff as soon as they complete their site

visits. Board Member Leonard asked if Board Member Farrow could be the liaison to visit and report on
Creative Identity. Chair Cudd concurred with this idea and Board Member Farrow agreed to be the liaison for
the Creative Identity site visit.
a. FY 2016/2017 Non -Profit Agency Mid -Year Funding Updates: Joe provided a brief summary of
the Mid -Year Funding Update Process for the benefit of the Board; a representative from each
funded non-profit agency is to provide a five -to ten-minute update on the status of their funded
programs and services for the current fiscal year.
b. The Board listened to the updates presented by representatives from Acacia Adult Day Services;
Access California Services; AIDS Services Foundation and the Anaheim Family YMCA.
B. FY 2016/2017 CDBG Public Service Funding Process
CDAC Meeting — Scheduled for April 7, 2016: Joe Perez reported that he received communication
from Community Development that the Federal Government had communicated the total amount of
federal funding available to the City of Anaheim for FY2016/2017. Joe stated that the total amount
of funding for non-profit agencies in FY2016/2017 will be $292,980. Joe noted that there would be
no change in the funding level from the current fiscal year to the next fiscal year. He added that
Community Development has scheduled a date for the Community Development Advisory
Committee (CDAC) to vote on the CDBG funding recommendation and this meeting will take place
on April 7d' at 5:30 p.m., Anaheim West Tower.
Joe extended an invitation to Chair Cudd and Vice Chair Murphy to attend the meeting to represent
the CSB's funding recommendation. Chair Cudd confirmed she would attend the CDAC meeting
along with Vice Chair Murphy and Board Member Kelso.
Joe informed the Board that the start of FY 2017/2018 CDBG funding process will begin in April.
Joe will provide a copy of the application for the Board to review and make any recommended
changes at the April 14th meeting. Joe reported that the public notice on the availability of funding
is expected to be posted in May 2016.
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Joe Perez reported the following:
The City of Anaheim and founding partners GBS Linens, Inc., and Anekant Community Center are
hosting a FREE Health Fair at the Anaheim Convention Center. The fair is a 2 -day event scheduled for
Saturday, April 2nd & Sunday, April 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Citywide Food Drive will take place on March 14 - 21, 2016 in collaboration with 2nd Harvest Food
Bank. Canned food will be collected at various locations throughout the city.
Board Member Pina informed the Board that the Anaheim Family YMCA's "Good Friday Breakfast" is
scheduled to be held at the City National Grove of Anaheim on March 25th at 7:15 a.m.
