A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDS
FROM THE ORANGE COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT'S
COOPERATIVE PROJECT PROGRAM GRANT FOR CLOSED
CIRCUIT TELEVISION INSPECTION, MANHOLE INSPECTION,
INFLOW/INFILTRATION IDENTIFICATION AND CONDITION
ASSESSMENT OF THE WEST ANAHEIM AREA SEWER SYSTEM
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH
APPLICATION AND SUBSEQUENT AWARD OF FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Orange County Sanitation District ("District")
provides funds to cities within the County of Orange to assist
them in completing closed circuit television inspection, manhole
inspection, inflow/infiltration identification and condition
assessment of the West Anaheim sewer system through the
District's Cooperative Project Program (~Program"); and
WHEREAS, the procedures established by the District require
the City to approve and authorize, by resolution, the filing of
its Application for funds before submission of said Application;
and
WHEREAS, if awarded the funds, the City will enter into an
agreement with the District to carry out the closed circuit
television inspection, manhole inspection, inflow/infiltration
identification and condition assessment of the West Anaheim sewer
system with such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council hereby approves, and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to file, an application for funds
under the Orange County Sanitation District's cooperative project
program for closed circuit television inspection, manhole
inspection, inflow/infiltration identification and condition
assessment of the West Anaheim sewer system in accordance with
the undertakings set forth in its Application.
2. That the City of Anaheim has appropriated sufficient
funds to implement and maintain the project, and that such funds
are available to commence the project and provide any co-funding
required under the grant.
3. That if awarded funds under the Program, the City is
committed to the firm Project Milestone Schedule reflected in the
Application.
4. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to conduct
all negotiations and execute and submit all documents including,
but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, and
payment requests which may be necessary for the completion of the
undertakings described in the Application.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this29t__h day of October ,
